Tis the season

Well the holidays are upon us once again, and as we bustle around from store to store finding gifts for those we love let's also use this time to help someone we don't even know.
It's so easy to get caught up in the moment that we forget that there are others out there who are not as fortunate as we are. Now I'm not saying that we should all go out and donate to every needy cause because that's just not practical and it's not really the point. While giving what you can is always a nice gesture, it should also have some meaning to you. That meaning could be as simple as "I'm helping my fellow man" or it could be something very personal. For me, I give food and toys to local shelters because it makes me happy to know that a child will be able to have a full belly and a toy to play with on Christmas Day. And that their parents can relax, even if just for a day, knowing that someone is there for them if they want it. We've all been through hard times and good times. For me, I'm having a good period in my life and I firmly believe in sharing those good times with others. Something as simple as a smile or a hello can go a long way in making someone's day a little bit better.
To all my friends here on URNA, I thank you for making me feel so welcome and for becoming my friend. I truly am grateful for all of you. I wish you all the best this holiday season and in the new year to come.

Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for all the positive comments and e-mails. I honestly didn't expect so many responses in only a couple of days. Needless to say I'm a little behind in e-mailing everyone back, but rest assured I will e-mail everyone that has e-mailed me....so be patient, as it may take me a couple of days.
I'm looking forward to making new friends.
