The adventures of Linda
November 6th, 2009 8:22 pm MST
After returning from a month in Utaw I drove to Charlestown SC to attend a reunion with my Navy shipmates from the Korean War. I stoped in Atlanta and spent the night at the SCC Hotel with Vickie Davis. I met several girlfriends there and had a great evening. Then off to Charlestown and a wonderful reunion. The acceptence was more than I could ever have asked for. Then I drove to Nashville to spend more time with Vickie and Susan Brown. The highlite of that trip was the line dancing at the Wildhorse Saloon. What fun, 5 hours of dancing. I was there for a week or so having a great time and then headed back home to Phoenix.
On the 13th of Nov I will fly to NYC to perform in the Tranny Road Show. Just for the weekend this time but I am really looking forward to it. We always have fun. I will be playing my harmonica in the show. Bye for now, xo, Linda

4 wheeling in Utaw for a month, what a great adventure. I was camping near Bryce Canyon for the first week and getting around in my sand rail until something went wrong with the cumputer. I couldnt get it fixed right away so I brought it back to Phoenix and got my Rhino and my Poloris 700 Quad. I headed right back up o my camp spot and continued where I left off. Lots of great trails with beautful scenery. That is the most beautiful country that I have ever visited. I saw lots of Deer, Elk, Antalope, Wild Turkeys and other little criters.I put 600 miles on my Quad and lots of miles on the Rhino.
I met and made lots of new friends who were very suprised as to how much I knew about off roading and my vehicles. TheY always asked my if I wasn't afraid to be doing all of that traveling alone. I just show confidencegwith me, Jimmy with me,6 pounds of love and protection. All and all it was a wonderful trip. Linda
On The Road Again

I will be leaving town tomorrow on another adventure with my little dog/best friend Jimmy. We will be traveling in my 99 Dodge pickup with the pop up camper and my dune buggy on the trailer. First stop will be Lake Powell for some relaxing on the beach and some swiming in that nice clear water. Then we are off to Brice National park to explore the offroad trailes. From there we head north to visit friends and spend time at Carito Reef Nat Park for my first visit. This trip is subject to detours at any time becuse we will travel for the whole month of August with no firm destinition in mind after the visit with our friends.
I do plan on spending some time it the Silverton Colorado area traveling the many mountain trails in the area. There, we will visit goast towns at old mining sites high in the mountains. Jimmy and I travel by ourselves because it is so diffucult for a trans person to find a person that is completely comfortable all of the time with a trans person. Also the fact that I am 78 years old and retired, most of the younger folks are still working and the ones my age are in the rocking chair.
After that we may head for the Denver area or whereever else looks good and exciting. I really enjoy this part of my life, meeting people along the way and making new friends. This beautiful country has so much to offer, I intend to see it all and doing it as the woman I always felt that I was meant to be makes it that much better . Now I am able to concentrate on enjoying life with out the frustration of living in the wrong gender. I will write more on our return to Phoenix in September. Love to all, Linda
