On The Road Again

July 31st, 2009 9:28 am MDT

I will be leaving town tomorrow on another adventure with my little dog/best friend Jimmy. We will be traveling in my 99 Dodge pickup with the pop up camper and my dune buggy on the trailer. First stop will be Lake Powell for some relaxing on the beach and some swiming in that nice clear water. Then we are off to Brice National park to explore the offroad trailes. From there we head north to visit friends and spend time at Carito Reef Nat Park for my first visit. This trip is subject to detours at any time becuse we will travel for the whole month of August with no firm destinition in mind after the visit with our friends.

I do plan on spending some time it the Silverton Colorado area traveling the many mountain trails in the area. There, we will visit goast towns at old mining sites high in the mountains. Jimmy and I travel by ourselves because it is so diffucult for a trans person to find a person that is completely comfortable all of the time with a trans person. Also the fact that I am 78 years old and retired, most of the younger folks are still working and the ones my age are in the rocking chair.

After that we may head for the Denver area or whereever  else looks good and exciting. I really enjoy this part of my life, meeting people along the way and making new friends. This beautiful country has so much to offer, I intend to see it all and doing it as the woman I always felt that I was meant to be makes it that much better . Now I am able to concentrate on enjoying life with out the frustration of living in the wrong gender. I will write more on our return to Phoenix in September. Love to all,  Linda
