Diva Las Vegas 2008
February 12th, 2008 6:41 pm MST
If you are comfortable being out in public, I thoroughly recommend Diva Las Vegas. This year's DLV takes place the week of April 20 -27. Unlike most other T-events, this is correctly billed as "a vacation, not a convention". There are no hotel functions, no banquets, no speeches, no workshops, and no fund-raising. It is just an opportunity to get dressed up and go out and have fun with lots of other t-girls (and some of their S.O.'s) on the Las Vegas Strip.
Attendees are only asked to conduct themselves as ladies when in public (slut-wear or inappropriate behavior at mainstream events will cause you to be asked to leave), and are asked to adhere to general guidelines regarding dress, deportment and bathroom policy depending on the venue and event.
Other than that, Vegas is a tremendous amount of fun for the comfortable-with-herself t-girl. Since you decide where you are going to stay (many attendees stay at the Imperial Palace and Sahara on the bargain end of the scale; some stay at the Bellagio, Mirage, and Treasure Island on the more upscale end) and where you are going to eat, how much you spend is up to you. There are no fees except for organized events (e.g. Limo Tour, Production Shows, golf) that you decide whether or not you want to participate.
There are also events every day in the Vegas' gay & lesbian "fruit loop" district for gals who are not comfortable going out in general public places.
