Denver Adventure Part 2

July 22nd, 2008 10:04 pm MDT

Thursday July 2nd. I received the offer from the new company last Friday and after a bit of negotiation we made a deal. Then came the hard part, turning in my resignation. As it turned out it was not as bad as I had feared. My boss took it well enough and I now have two weeks to tie up loose ends. August 1st, I start the new job and will fly back to  Virginia to get things set up.

We have scheduled the move for August 30th. We will be staying with my daughter and her husband in Colorado Springs for a short time until we find the right home to purchase. We have found quite a few homes listed that are the kind of place we are looking for so we have high hopes of finding the perfect one. Since I will be traveling to Las Vegas once a month we are looking at buying a small condo there at the same time. This would also give us a place to escape to during the winter.

I started saying goodbye to my friends on Saturday, Went out clubbing with two of my best Gurl friends. We had a great time, the club had a great crowd, very mixed and a lot of fun. I think the best part was sitting up until the wee hours of the morning just talking. I am going to miss them a lot.

I may be coming into Denver for a few days the week of the 18th. If I can find some new friends to go out with , I may stay over Friday , but we will ahve to see.

Denver Adventure

Well its Tuesday Morning July 1st. I am still waiting on the paperwork to go through at the new company. In the mean time I have a major case of short timers disease but still can not give notice. It looks like I will not make the sales meeting in Virginia but I am sure I will not miss much. We are planning on flying into Denver the week of 28th to look for a temporary place to stay and talk to a couple of realtors. We would like to find a condo near the area we will be looking for a house in, wherever that will be. We want to find a 50's to 60's era Mid Century Ranch Style home in a nice established area. We plan on being there a while and need room to spread out a bit, also the older homes tend to be on large lots with a bit more privacy. We also love to entertain, dinner parties and such, so an open floor plan is very important. I am really happy with the contacts I have made so far in Denver, also in Salt Lake and Phoenix. I have discovered the Tgurls here are both very nice and very beautiful. I am looking forward to making some good friends. It took me 20 years to build up a network here in LA, and I would rather it not take that long again :) There are also quite a few clubs I want to check out. It seems one of my favorites, The Grand Piano Bar, is no longer open :( but I plan on checking out the Atrium Bar & Grill, The Compound, Decater cafe, La Rumba and Lannie's Clock tower Cabaret to start. I hope some of my new friends will be able to offer a few suggestions too. Well its time to get off to work, I have finished my quad Latte and am more than awake. TTFN

Journey to Dnever

We hope to find a 50's or 60's era Ranch style or Mid century Modern in a nice well established area.

I am very happy with my success so far in finding several very nice and very beautiful TGurls in the Denver, Salt Lake and Phoenix areas so far. As for places to go, it looks like the Grand piano bar is no longer open :( but there are a few places to check out like the Atrium Bar & Grill, the compound, Decater cafe, La Rumba and Lannie's Clock tower Cabaret.

I think that's enough for this morning. I did not get much sleep last night but I just finished my usual quad latte and I am pretty much awake.
