Well.

I've been on 200mgs of spironolactone a day for five months, 4mgs of estrace a day for three, and just last week Doctor Corenblum wrote me a prescription for prometrium. I'm seeing a lot of encouraging changes, even withing this short span of time. My skin is softer and smoother than its ever been, I'm much more sensitive to touch, I'm no longer growing hair on my chest and oddly enough, I'm lactating.

The latest news.

August 15th, 2009 12:14 am MDT

So for the past couple of months, I've been seeing another transwoman I met at the local Transgender support group. Her name is Brenda.

She and I went for coffee a week or so back, and from then on I've been talking with her almost daily. I love her, and it is so nice to be going out with someone who understands what I'm going through. She is three years older than me, has been on hormones since January and is already a B cup, and has beautiful round hips and facial features. Best of all, she seems to like me back!

This is unheard of! I was going out with gay guys for the longest time, but I felt that all they wanted from me was sex. And once I started transitioning, the gay guys didn't want me because I'm a girl, and the straight guys didn't because I wasn't!   >:( It's like I couldn't win. But Brenda loves me for who I am, and I feel closer to her than I have with anyone else.

I'm so glad I met her, and I relly hope things stay as good as they are right now. I've never felt so close to anyone, and she accepts me, faults and all. :)

In other news, I havn't spoke to my Father since my birthday. I had to phone him, he didn't wish me a happy birthday and didn't get me a gift or even a card. I told him I wouldn't be coming up to visit in October, and he didn't deem to care. So fuck him. He left when I was two. I've lived my life without him, it won't be hard to keep that up. It's just kind of sad that he would reject me for doing what I have to in order to be happy. But that is his coice, not mine.

Twenty one

July 15th, 2009 2:46 pm MDT

I turned twenty one over the weekend, this year was a non-event. I didn't go anywhere, I didn't see anyone, about all I did to celebrate was pick up a bottle of absinthe. Mum got me clothes and Paul got me a dartboard, but my favorite gift came before my birthday.

On the eighth, I was able to meet with Dr. Corenblum. My appointment with him was brief, he asked me a few questions and then wrote me a prescription for Estrace. I'm excited to be starting HRT, and I can't wait until I start seeing some changes! One of the shirts mum bought for me. I could really use a haircut.
