why does it have to be like this...honestly god?

September 24th, 2009 10:03 pm MDT

So Mom comes in today talking about rumors of how I am so confused.  Calls me her son and a boy....and how that's who I am, have and always will be no matter what fantasy she presumes I'm living.........  The amount of stress this misplacement of soul and body is causing is getting uneccessary.  Why does it have to be only the ones who are experiencing the unorthodox things in life the only ones to truly understand how real it is?

I hear you hun, only us girls really understand why we are what we are.  and I'm not a TS, only TV.  Just don't get too down on yourself.  If I had come out when I was your age I don't know how I could have done it.  But just know that there are A LOT of people in this world who will accept you for who you are, and that starts with yourself.  Don't give up, stay strong and believe in yourself!

Chris James September 21st, 2011 7:06 am MDT It's because we live in a very infantile society, by the rest of the world's standards.  America is full of ignorant, close minded fools who choose to feel threatened by anthing or anyone that doesn't completley conform to the media portrayl of what we're "supposed" to be.  Many cultures around the world have and continue to recognize a 3rd gender.  It is a worldwiide phenomenon that spans centuries past.  From the Native Americans, to the Hindu, to Hawaiians to beautiful Thai Ladyboys, we find the third gender all around us.    Just as being homosexual was completely taboo in the 50's and is now gaining it's respect, people HAVE to stand up for the right to express gender however the hell they see fit.  We as a group need better organizaiton, marches, media coverage, experts in our corners touting the "relative normalcy" of gender expression.  In 50 years, we may make some progress....:/
