Gender??!!

Having spent so many years hiding from my femininity, I'm now embracing it (her?). Better late than never, I guess.

But, I'm not at all interested in trading one set of rigid gender expectations for another.  My aim is not so much to switch gender as to transcend it.   This will probably make me too "butch" a woman for some people's taste, just as I've always been too "femme" a man for others.  So be it.

A favorite quote of mine comes from Frederick Douglas:

"What liberates one human being liberates all human beings"
