The Travel Team!

For years, as part of my beauty company, I have been working on funding and ideas for my travel team under "Steppin Out" After moving back here to Cleveland from Jersey and working either in my salon or being called in on events, I realized..I really needed to put together a stable team of makeup and hair stylists to be able to go to my clients either individually or for an event.
Steppin Out should launch this month, and I will keep everyone informed, in the meantime--here are some details on what will be offerred.
Makeup/Hair Parties: You and your friends can book an instructional event.
Individual Night Out: We will travel to you to do your hair and makeup for your night out.
Gifts for others: Ie..Buy your Mom a makeover/hair day!
This will all be fine tuned, but you can begin booking now and get in on the fun!!!

New Instructional Program!

I cannot and I mean cannot thank all of you who emailed me ideas and just even comments through my new website..I loved the criticism, the offers to help and most of all the support.
As I've absolutely promised and am very committed to helping and giving back to the community that raised me, I've decided to off an inexpensive educational makeup course for all of those interested.
I ask you to go check out my site under News/Updates and read through the course. I will make it worth everyone's time --It will be fun--educational and give you a head start on some of the looks that YOU can then recreate!!!

My "Safe Haven" Project

Recently, I was inspired to consider a new idea to add to my range of services here in my Salon in Cleveland. It stemmed from a client of mine who came in for a standard makeover. During that time she had explained to me that evn though she was from here, in order for her to go out during the day in femme it required her to get a hotel room ($70.00 plus) change...go shopping....return...change back...then go home.
It got me thinking of trying to come up with some ideas for a new service that I may be able to offer many of the local girls. Now, of course there are limits as I cant overnight people here, BUT would it be appropriate for me to allow them to come to the salon, complete their transformation (and YES...Id assist their makeup)--go out for their shopping day--then return and change back? This is something I could do for probably in the $40-$50.00 range and would include the makeup app...Still way cheaper than a hotel room, more private etc. I even consider maybe an additional idea of allowing storage of clothing and accessories here instead of at home.
I'd really love some feedback or just a show of ideas or interest to help me out here. So Im calling on everyone to drop me an email with their thoughts or if they'd have an interest at ashley@ashleynicolemorgin.com

Attention my lovely friends!! Recently, I have been asked and accepted a partnership with Alexa Art Photography. If you don't know her, she is a gorgeous Pin Up Model and brilliant photographer here in Ohio, but nationally known. Here now is what we are up to. Its all about Glam, Girliness, Fantasy. Finally!!

Finally! My store gets completed the way I want it done. It took me two months to figure everything out--no doubt I have to work on it everyday!
I want to make it fun! and Ive tailored it for all of us in the community. Ive always been a strong advocate against online sites catering to all of us transgendered and inflating prices wildy, because they know we will by anyway. I did NOT do that and Im keeping the customers of mine in ultimate privacy.
I used to hate using my credit card with my legal name, address, info etc online, the fear of exposure. But being a transgender business owner, my respect for your privacy is paramount.
So, come over and shop, if not, at least sign up as a new customer-friend of mine so I can start giving out my coupons etc.

Makeover Clarification

Just because so many have asked, I thought I'd clarify on my makeovers. Yes, I operate out of a home salon, very private environment for anyone interested. Being transgendered myself has always given me the opportunity to interact comfortably with everyone within our community.
I am accredited and trained and work locally for many events and photographers. My sessions are professional and designed to help. I provide discounts for multiple sessions.

I promise to start using my URNA more...I've been uber busy recently with a new private label cosmetics project and finally launched yesterday!!! Its called "Pink Dolly" and is the perfect China Doll Makeup Kit!!! Back in Cleveland!

Well it certainly has been good to be back.. Busy, but good. I finally got the salon set up and have been booking my makeup clients. Its always hard to restart in a new city, but Im grateful to have a place to work from and in. Having a comfortable, private and inviting place is always a treat for any of us and thats why I took the time to do it right. So away I go..work, work, work. I hope many of you will drop me an email for my services/rates sheet. Im going to keep this inexpensive as I'd rather gain long time clients and be able to have fun with new looks on each of you.
I had been tossing around the idea of providing a maid service to my single--guy friends, as they always get excluded..lol but I'll have to look into the demand for that, not sure with the economy, cleaning and or meal preps is high on people's priority list. I'll wait to get feedback on the interest of that as well. Just working my way through like everyone else I guess. Maybe its my entrepenurial (sp?) spirit...lol
