Oooh Caaaasey!

June 20th, 2007 6:11 pm MDT

Well, Ah reckon you missed your exit, pardner!  This here is trans country, yessiree!  URnotaliberal is back down the road a stretch.//  I hold these truths to be self evident:  1.  No not all GOPers are meanies, but 2. the mainstream of conservative opinion and elements of the Rep. party platform are strongly opposed to the nefarious agenda of the godless tranny hoardes.  3.  Bush is a devious ass-clown//  Trouble is your stuck #1 and #3, when #2 is the only one relevant to the mission of this site.  Broadly speaking these are issues of eliminating barriers to personal expression versus legislating "morality".  And that issue is among the starkest left/right distinctions in the US.  You wanna discuss the IMF and WTO, I might just agree with you--but not here.//  I hear ya!  You are now like "But, but, I just told you I've seen off-topic liberal opinions here!"  True, that.  Most of it of the #3 "bush is a devious ass-clown variety" (though I wouldn't jump to quickly to conclusions of personal politics on that basis--there's substantial bi-partisan consensus on the matter).  But there's a surprising amount of irrelevent right-wing grandstanding, too.  Case in point, you.  The key difference I note between the two viewpoints on URNA isn't so much which opinions are more numerous or less topical.  The difference is of where and how these views are expressed.  Your post highlights this with blinding clarity and precision.  For this I thank you.//  You plainly state that the liberal drivel you have been forced (forced, I tell you!) to stomache is all in profiles.  That's a good place for it, don't you think.  It is, after all, where is supposed to describe oneself.  If politics are central to your identity, you may wish to alert others of your sympathies there, whatever they be.  If I choose to make my profile an anti-mullet tirade, fine--and it's a service to the mulleted, who can save themselves the trouble of trying to communicate with me.//  The reactionary claptrap, though, is usually posted in discussion areas, and inevitably adopts the same formula you chose:  "Why are there so many damned pinkos here" grumble, grumble, etc.  Pure pot-stirring/troop rallying stuff.  It has zero credibility as social critique, when the thesis statement is actually criticism of the membership--whether collectively or individually.  Pointless and pathetic.  Post the stuff in your profile, then lie back and wait for the legion admirers who will doubtless rush to your banner.  Or not.

For mighty Caaasey has struck out! (hoping I didn't step into the Hatfields-McCoys)

Ane what have you got against mullets???  They are very feminine.  Some day I plan to get one myself. (Annette Mullet Brunette)

Re: Oooh Caaaasey! Casey Hill June 22nd, 2007 2:25 pm MDT "The mighty Casey has struck out"??? Jeez, leave it to a lib to concede the ballgame before the first inning's even been played! Thank God FDR wasn't so quick to wuss out, or he would've surrendered to Japan on December 8th. Of course, not before designating Florida as a Far Eastern Wetlands to promote the continued growth of the revered Banzai tree. How's your Japanese lessons coming along, by the way? Or would you prefer German? Now to Marisa.

Re: Oooh Caaaasey! Marisa June 22nd, 2007 4:03 pm MDT Don't even try, sugarplum.  I've already given you a good schooling, and you aren't remotely qualified for the graduate course.  That's "hypocrisy" BTW (not even close to your attempted spelling).  If you are gonna throw out that accusation, you'd be best served to know that.  To do otherwise, suggests you haven't looked in a dictionary.  Which suggests your understanding the meaning may be shakier than your spelling.//  None of the instances you cite have anything whatsoever to do with "hypocrisy."  On the evidence, it seems you think the word to be some hifallutin synonym for "nonsense" or "lie."  Au contraire, mon frere!  It is much closer in meaning to "pretension."  According to Webster's:  Pretension--(noun) e.g.  the frequent use of words one can neither understand, nor spell

Re: Oooh Caaaasey! Casey Hill June 22nd, 2007 4:38 pm MDT When I first read your headline I thought you were hitting on me! I mean, you DO appear to be moaning my name. Imagine my embarrassment when I actually found substantial text contained...yes, I was redfaced. I will give you kudos for the "ass clown" comment. That was origional. The rest, unfortunately, was not. I'm not accusing you of plagerism, since you have reworked the order of sentences, and used synonymous wording to countless left-leaning papers, television newscasts, and obvious blog-spots. But it's old-hat, none-the-less. People far more qualified than I have already defaced those arguments, Sweety. I will address 3 points, however. 1) I ain't from Texas, nor do I align myself with the far right, ultra religious nuts. They're almost as bad as the dangerous SP faction of the liberal left. And that's BAD. 2) Why not post my conservative thoughts on a liberal website? Why preach to the choir when us good guys are already in agreeance? Freedom of speech is actually in the Constitution, even though the left hates that fact! 3) I don't have alot of time to use the spell check option, like you. We CONSERVATIVES actually go to work while you libs go to protest. I mean, somebody has to provide the tax dollars for your welfare checks, right? You can thank me later.

Re: Oooh Caaaasey! Marisa June 22nd, 2007 6:06 pm MDT Good and well, if this was a random political thread.  But it isn't.  I'ts all about you starting a post with an agressive challenge, moving to ill-concieved abuse, and ending with a threat.  Subsequently, growing more rabid and defensive, like a cornered wolverine//  You're shiffting the goalposts.  Nice try, but that can't be done unless the whistle has been blown on the previous game (that you know you lost).// It entertains me, to a point.  But it quickly becomes like invading Grenada or pummelling a one-armed, blind schoolgirl.  Satisfying only for bullies, methinks

Re: Oooh Caaaasey! Casey Hill June 22nd, 2007 6:32 pm MDT You're right. It's like sending troops to a foreign land to divert attention from the  improprieties of the President while in the Oval Office.
