Frank Disalle September 10th, 2008 8:46 am MDTTransgender Murder, Safety and Dating
I really hate saying this, but it needs to be said...There
are many young transgender women who are not careful about dating guys.
They think that because they are young, pretty and passable they are
free to date as they wish. The truth of the matter is, we have to be
concerned with our safety the same as any other woman and even more.
Even genetic women have to be concerned with being raped, assaulted and
becoming victims of domestic violence. As a transgender woman
things can become even more riskier, especially if we are pre or
non-op. If we are found out men can get very upset, angry and often
very violent. No man likes being lied to, but even worse the "thought"
they have had sex with a person of the "same sex" and committed a
"homosexual act" can drive them to become very angry and often
resulting in brutal assault and even murder. Such is the case in the
murder of Angie Zapata. All the hate crimes legislation in the
world will do little to help us in this type of situation. I feel that
many transgender murders could be prevented if only they had been
upfront about their gender and screened their dates a little bit
better. Does this justify these gruesome murders, positively not, but
it is a very sad reality that may very well have been prevented with a
bit more caution and honesty. As a transexual woman I get many
requests for dates. Many of these hits are online and through social
networking sites such as myspace and facebook. Even though my profiles
are as transgender oriented, I get many hits from very straight men. My
very first reply to any person who hits on me is "I am a male to female
transexual woman and give a brief description of myself. This way no
one can say I lied to them or deceived them about my gender. Usually
the response back is a quick no thank you or no response at all.As
much as we all like to go "stealth", I feel it is very important to be
upfront about our transgender status. We need to be just as cautious as
any other genetic woman and even more. Lastly, we need to screen our
dates and know who we are dating.

This is a test to see if I can input my journal entry. Fingers crossed!
Summer is almost here. I know that 90 degree weather and
95% humidity does not do much for makeup. The season does not always
lend itself to dressing up. The dressed go into the box and the boxes
go into the closest.
Why not slip into that swimsuit and
go on out and get a great tan in a nice secluded surrounding. Or be
more brave and go out in public with a cute, sleeveless top and min
shorts/skirt. Give the guys some "eye candy!"
There are people in Chat who don't talk to me. Maybe there are people in chat that don't talk to you. That is no surprise. What surprises me - no, amazes me - is how unyielding they are. They will not address even the most inconsequential of comments.
It requires more discipline than I possess to commit to NEVER speaking to a person again, under any circumstances. Some people address me obliquely. If I make a comment, they will respond generally, wothout addressing me directly. But many will not even acknowledge my existence - with one exception. If someone makes a joke at my expense, they wil laugh at it. Not anyone else, only jokes about me.
They fail to realize that if they ignore me, they are communicating to me. If they laugh at jokes made at my expense, they are communicating. They are "shunning" me , in the Amish sense, "including me out" of chat from their point of view.
I never thought of it this way, but someone said to me yesterday, that people in the Chat room are cruel. Cruel? I don't think so. I don't know what it is, but I don't think it is cruel. I think it is a matter of control. One thing that is difficult to do in a chat room is manage who speaks to you, and who you speak to. Once people don't want to speak to you, or don't want you speaking to them , they have to ignore you with a vengeance.
I find the whole thing either weird, childish or both. Sure, there are people I don't want to talk to. Sure, there are are people I don't want to hear from. But is it an absolute? They can't mention a train wreck, and I can't say, "That's horrible"?
That's ridiculous! It was pointed out by our fearless leader, Jon , that we are adults not children. Well, "I Wouldn't Talk To _____ If My Life Depended On It!" is juvenile and petulant (with apologies to Kim).
There is a Member of URNA telling lies about me, and I must correct them here. He claims I am a "predator" who "harrasses girls by telephone". Here is what is wrong with the story: He will not reveal who the girls are, "to protect their identity", he says. Why not? When girls are bothered by trolls or particularly nasty perverts do they keep it secret to "protect their identity"? Of course not! They immediately reveal who the culprit is. My accuser cannot do this, however, because then he would be making liars of every girl he named.
Why? Because no girl in URNA can claim I called her without permission. Why? Because I never ask girls for their phone numbers. I thought it was useless to ask because they are so guarded about their privacy. I am always surprised to hear a girl say to a guy, "Give me a call -- You have my number" because I have never asked for one. Girls have given me their numbers after I have spoken to them, when they have called me.
The reason I know that I have not harrassed any girls anywhere, anytime is because I don't make calls very much even if I have their phone numbers, much less when I don't!
Finally, unless this self - appointed Sheriff of URNA can find a girl who was harrassed me, or a girl who considers me a predator, he should return to Sherwood Forest to play with Robin Hood and his Merry Men.
February 2nd is Ground Hog Day. I'm sure you all know the story. If the groundhog sees his shadow there is 6 more weeks of winter. If the groundhog does not see his shadow then spring is almost here.
I've often wondered, what type of IDIOT cam up with this concept? Have you ever seen spring start at the beginning of February? There may be global warning but spring at the start of February?
I regret to tell all of you that this year, 2008, the groundhog ended up with a different result. The groundhog came out of his burrow, saw my main picture in URNA this month and committed suicide. Funeral services will be conducted today, video at 11 P.M.
FIRST EVENT 2008
On Wednesday, 16 January I picked up my girlfriend Brenda Sue at the airport in Providence in the early evening and we proceeded to the Sheraton Hotel in Peabody. This was the new site for First Event. Brenda flew in from Chicago and this was her first First Event.
We were met at the hotel by our girlfriend, Jackie, who had come down earlier in the day. She helped us get into our rooms.
A bunch of us girls freshened up and went down to the restaurant for dinner. I was quite tired from a long day and was very hungry, but also wanted a drink!
Right off the bat I was impressed by the hotel staff's professionalism and courtesy. It was quite obvious that this year's hotel staff was given some corporate sensitivity training and the staff took the lessons to heart. Last year many of the staff at the previous hotel acted like the circus had come to town when they saw convention participants. They were rude.
The food at dinner was also very delicious. We ended up closing down the restaurant/bar.
On Thursday we welcomed many of our other friends. For me, these conventions are more of a social occasion now rather than an informational quest. I've attended many of these seminars in the past, plus I know everything anyways! HA HA HA, that's a joke everyone!
I was very fortunate in that Jackie's friend (and now mine) Bobbie was attending First Event. He is a professional hair stylist and so I was able to have my hair look its' best every evening. THANKS BOBBIE YOU ARE THE GREATEST BABES!
We then got prepared for the Dinner/Costume Ball. Since I did not get out on Halloween this was my chance to make up for it. My roommate, Jackie Thompson, went as the cutest cowgirl you have ever seen and I went as a cheerleader. YEA RA RA !
Even though the organizers did not say there would be a contest, I think many girls were under the impression there would be one. There was not. Had there been I think my girlfriend, Tiffany Starr, would have won it hands down. She went as a red, girl Dracula. YIKES!
One gentleman admirer was there and shared our dinner table.. He got up to perform after dinner and was a very talented impersonator. He was also quite charming and funny as well.
Later in the evening, while I was prancing around, I saw a sign board for the Leahy Clinic seminar of "Sleep Disorders" in the front lobby. You can see me sleeping with this sign:-)
Dinner was nice and we all got some dancing in.
The next day I woke up at 11 A.M. I've grown to like breakfast in bed at these events. Expensive? Perhaps. I like doing this since I normally do not do this when I travel. It also allows you more time to rest. My roommate Jackie T also liked it as well.
Sometime the early bird girlfriend or two pops in to chat. Annette Brunette came by and proceeded to take my pic in bed. OH NO ANNETTE! HOW COULD YOU?
She later photo shopped me into bed with the two life size plastic dolls at Dr. Z.'s party! Thanks Annette:-( I've never had such great sex in my life! *Giggles*
On Friday we wandered around the vendors' area and attended a couple of seminars. Since I do assist many others I decided that the workshop on coming out to children was a good workshop to go to It was nice to hear from others but I felt the presenter should have presented more of her own thoughts and ideas on the matter since she was a mental health care professional.
Friday evening many of my sorority sisters in Sorority Sisters of New England, and I, went out to dinner at the No Name Restaurant in Boston. Jackie picked out a great seafood restaurant.
I know that many girls only want to go out to "alternative" establishments. I grow tired of this self imposed segregation as a steady diet. If the transgendered community is looking for acceptance in the wider world then we need to "show the flag" and go out into the rest of the world. Our presence can educate the public into acceptance. I'm not going to hide in closets anymore. Besides they are too musty! Are we ashamed of ourselves? Our $$$ is just as green as anyone else's!
Our intrepid group included Jennifer Lane, Jackie Thompson, Brenda Sue Faulkner, Denise Armel, Jean Warren, Taylor Stephnz, Tiffany Starr, and myself. When we got to the restaurant two of the waitresses recognized Jackie and I from a previous visit last summer. Is that good or bad? Maybe it was the 5" stiletto heels, black fishnet stockings , and the micro min skirt. HUMMMM:-0
The waitresses were thrilled to wait on us 8 girls. They gave us the best seats in the house. We all had delicious seafood to eat. The other patrons did not even bat any eyelash at our crowd. Dress for the occasion is the rule. Later we went clubbing.
The night was topped off by a visit to Dr. Z's famous, or infamous, suite party. There is always enough free liquor to float a battleship!
At about 3 A.M. I was in a rather silly mood. I like convention pics, but not the usual, run of the mill, sitting at a table, or standing in a hallway photo parade. I suggested to Jackie that we go to the Exercise/Weigh Room and take some goofy photos. You can see them in my new gallery. It was a blast and no one was around. The pics are unique! You can also combine those with the previous evening's, "Girls On The Luggage Cart" pics
On Saturday we tore around the the site and had a nice time. For dinner all of us SSofNE girls sat at one table. There was Jennifer Lane, Jackie Thompson, Annette Brunette, Brenda Sue Faulkner, Denise Armel, Sherry Colah, and myself. The dinner was quite nice and later we danced the night away. They even ended up ripping up the temporary dance flooring from underneath us at the end of the evening!
The evening ended up back at another Dr Z suite party.
On Sunday I drove Brenda Sue back to the airport for her to catch her evening flight. We had dinner at a nice restaurant south of Worcester. I wanted to avoid I-95 since there was a big game for the Patriots being played down at Foxboro. She got off on time.
I want to thank everyone for a great time. My sorority sisters are the best and Jackie you are an awesome roommie !
Yeah, Barack is my man! When I saw him deliver the keynote at the 2004 Democratic Convention, I said to my SO: "Damn, I hope that man runs for President some day..."!!!
And sure, some people is gonna point to his faux pas of a property deal with Tony Rezko & Rezko's wife. It was not the brightest of moves by someone with ambition for the Presidency. However, compared and contrast with the faux pas of presidents past and future: Clinton's Whitewater, Bush's partying at Yale and his draft dodging, etc. I say, let those without sins...
Some might point to oft-repeated-but-untrue rumors such as Obama's refusal to put his hand over his heart during the national anthem. The truth is that, he was taught to put his hand over his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance, and to *SING* during the national anthem: http://www.barackobama.com/factcheck/2007/11/12/obama_is_a_patriot.php
(I know, I know, that's a link to barackobama.com, but the references therein are from national news sources.)
What this country needs is a President with more intelligence than an amoeba and less hard-headed than a mutant mule. In fact, I think that EVEN IF by some miracle, John McCain gets elected to the U.S. Presidency, we'd STILL be better off than today!
Frank Disalle January 28th, 2008 7:54 pm MSTI am not old! I am 61 years of age... I may look 61 -- I doubt it -- but I am not old!People 4 or 5 years younger than I am call mne "old" -- what's that about?I do not take Geritol, drink Ensure, take Viagra, or use Depends. I do not walk with a walker, or even a cane.I do not suffer from Alzheimer's disease, dementia, senility, or even substantial memory loss -- even though there are some things I would rather forget!People say, "You are only as old as you feel." Good thing the saying is not, "You are only as old as you are treated", or I would be 120!The reason I don't like "old jokes" is NOT because I am thin skinned, or overly sensitive, or because I lack a sense of humor. It is because I hear them ALL DAY LONG!You log on to the Chat Room, and think of some incredibly humorous thing to say about "The Old Guy", and let it rip, like you just wrote it...Meanwhile, I have the joke before, or one very much like it -- sometimes more than once that very day! Then you log out. Along comes the next person with the same joke a few hours later ...Then another person -- a little later, same joke... When I have had enough, there then follows, "C'mon! Lighten up! It was just a joke! Where's your sense of humor?"You really want to know where it went?I'll tell you : When people treat you with courtesy and respect and consideration most of the time, it is easy to tell when you are being teased, and when a person is being funny. But, when a person does nothing but make comments about your age - ALL negative, funny or not -- it is hard to believe that in this one instance, they are "just joking" Think about that for a moment, please.OK?People my age get called names all day. We get "kidded" all day about forgetfulness, impotence, incontinence, our medications, and whatever the "non - elderly" can dream up ALL. DAY. LONG. I seriously you will make a comment I haven't heard, any time soon. The same people who have called upon to be less sensitive, thicker skinned, and more understanding, have responded to my reactions by saying, "Well, if that's how you feel -- then I won't talk to you at all!" [ How's that for irony! ]And the best part -- Oh, the best part! -- is that, with all of that being said -- people still talk to me like I am a naive teenager: Just tonight I was "informed" that " 'Becky' is short for 'Rebecca' " and " 'snatch' is slang for a woman's vagina " Just tonight! As if I never knew those things!People are funny, aren't they? Even the youngsters...
I hope you will all read to the end. Jay Leno puts it into perspective and makes us think about the pathetic negativity.
That's right, Jay Leno!!
Jay Leno wrote this; it's the Jay Leno we don't often see....
"The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true, given the source, right?
The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed, and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President.
In essence, 2/3's of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change.
So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ''What are we so unhappy about?''
Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?
Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?
Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time, and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?
Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state?
Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?
I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough.
Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all, and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.
You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and your belongings.
Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes , an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.
This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents.
Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.
How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?
Maybe that is what has 67 percent of you folks unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens.
They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have , and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
I know, I know. What about the President who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The President who has a measly 31 percent approval rating?
Is this the same President who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11?
The President that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession?
Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks?
The Commander-In Chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?
Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show?
Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?
Think about it...are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the "Media" told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.
Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go.
They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an ''other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge after a few days in the brig.
So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?
Say what you want, but I blame it on the media.
If it bleeds, it leads; and they specialize in bad news.
Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts.
How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner?
The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations.
They offer what sells , and when criticized, try to defend their actions by "justifying" them in one way or another.
Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about "how he didn't kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way"...Insane!
Stop buying the negativism you are fed everyday by the media. Shut off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad.
We are among the most blessed people on Earth, and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.
"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"
Here are some useful tips for getting the most out of using our Transvestite and Transexual Chat Room, whether you are a transexual, transvestite, admirer or other.
Always use the same username - in no time people will get to recognise you and they'll start to warm to you
A good username would include the area you are from, for example Jo - Cambs is better than just Jo
Bad usernames include things like hornyslut2004, longdick, or curious_bi_guy. Most users are real transexuals and transvestites and they will tend to assume you are a timewaster if you use a name like this. You don't have to use your real name, but joke names are going too far.
Intolerance, racism, sexism or other discriminatory comments are likely to get you gagged, kicked or barred. We have both human and automated moderation in effect, so do be careful not to offend.
It can take a little while to get to know people and the level of openess you can use in the chat rooms. People will naturally warm towards those who make pleasant conversation, so be patient and after a few visits you'll be sure to have made some good connections.
You don't need to reveal the factual details about yourself, but it is worth avoiding lying. If there is something you are uncomfortable with answering, simply reply I'd rather not say. Liars tend to be found out sooner or later at which point most friendships you've made will be ruined and your reputation in the community will become tarnished.
Whilst many transvestites enjoy fantasy, the people you will meet in the transvestite chat room are real. If you wouldn't feel comfortable saying it to their face, please don't say it online.
The transvestite and transexual chat room caters for people of all ages. There may be some who are very new to dressing and others who are old pros. Do the transgendered community an honour by warmly looking after the newcomers and by respecting that only some people in the transvestite chat room will be there because of sexaul motivations.
If you want to make intimate or sexual conversations, please do so by using the Private Chat Feature. Jokes which contain sexual references are OK for general transvestite chat room use, by personal sex talk, chatting one another up or chat sex should only be done via Private Chat or else you may well find yourself gagged by the transvestite chat room moderators.
Be yourself! Be fun, be supportive, be whatever you are so long as you remember that this transvestite chat room is for use by the transgendered community as a whole, so you'll need to hold respect for others who's beliefs, character or preferences may be wildly different from what you are. If you can't agree, agree to disagree and leave it at that!

~SOME NOVEMBER THOUGHTS~
November is now here and all turkeys are getting nervous ! Can you say "Giblet?" Hey, the Red Sox won the World Series!!! YES!!! Now we can enjoy football since justice has been done in baseball.
In November we have two important holidays: Veterans' Day & Thanksgiving. Let us all take stock of all that is positive in our lives and how fortunate we are compared to many others in this world. Let us also pay tribute to the women and men veterans who have defended our freedoms and our nation. They are heroes 24/7.
SS of NE Outing ( 13 October 2007 )
A few of my friends in Sorority Sisters of New England came down to visit me (Denise Armel and Jackie T). We hung around during the day on Saturday and I showed them the area that I live in.
That evening we met up with Jennifer Lane and her friend Audrey Conrad. We went out for dinner at a lovely Thai Restaurant in New London, CT called Bangkok City. Needless to say we all ate too much but had a great time.
For me the seafood is the best overall. I think the waiter enjoyed the company of all of us girls. Giggles!
After dinner we went clubbing at O'Neil's Brass Rail. The music was great but it was too chilly to stay on the outside deck for an extended time. We danced inside. I played a little pool and split a couple of games with Jackie.
THE MAIN PICTURE
This picture was taken on Thursday, 13 September 2007at the SCC Convention in Atlanta. I was sitting in the center hallway of the 3rd floor in my hotel where we stayed. I was afraid the glass top "counter" that I was sitting on would shatter from my heavy weight and impale my rear end:-)
ASK KAREN
I hope you like this feature also. Just email me any questions you might have and if I select your question, I will answer it next month. PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR QUESTION AND DO NOT WRITE IT IN MY GUEST BOOK. YOU WILL OVERWHELM IT! No obscene questions please!
Dear Karen,
Which convention do you prefer to attend Karen?
Mr. Eager Beaver Beaver Falls, OR
Dear Mr. Beaver,
That is a hard question. All conventions have many of the same attributes: seminars, banquets, dances, and clubbing. What sets the conventions apart from each other are the organization of the conventions and the different people who attend each convention.
I prefer SCC because: 1. It is Atlanta! 2. SCC is very well run. 3. It is the largest TG Convention in the U.S. so you get to see many girls and guys that you would not normally see at any other convention.
I urge anyone thinking of attending just one convention to make it SCC.

My website has been totally revamped. It has three new galleries, for a total of 30 new pictures. The pictures are also in larger frame when you click upon them in the drop down bar. Now you don't need to wear glasses. You can reach right out and touch me:-)
The site also now includes a News Links where you can find out my latest travels and event appearances.
Click on the tab or banner above my profile here in URNA, check it out, and leave a guest book comment if you like! Thanks!
I wanted to present myself to the world in a positive light and to tell the world about myself. I think I have done that. I also wanted to represent the TG community at large.
I have said it before and I say it again, any accolades I receive are due to ALL OF YOU ! ! ! Thank you for supporting me in URNA! We ALL need love and friendship, anybody who believes differently does not understand human nurturing. Nobody can exist in a vacuum. I hope my website makes you proud of yourselves as well. I am honored to be your friend :-)
KAREN'S NEW YEAR RESOLUTION
I shall continue to work on this resolution in 2007. I still need to better myself in this department a lot!
I am dedicating my life to helping all you Tgirls. I pledge to help all of you by offering my best advice, lending a hand, or just shutting up and listening to you. I am not a genius nor do I have all the answers here but I do care.
I know I am not supposed to reveal my resolution but if I state it publicly then you can all hold me to it ! May I suggest some punishments if I come up short ?
1. You naysayers can say to me, "I told you so !" 2. You can use my picture as a dartboard ! 3. You can put me on a new site URA- You Are Alone ! 4. You can force me to wear guy's clothes- NO NO NO ! ! !
KAREN'S 8 FRONT PAGE FRIENDS FOR NOVEMBER 2007
I noticed in March that the four friends on my front page were now boxed in yellow and they had four others joining them there as well. What was this, an outbreak of Yellow Fever? Oh my !
I then received an email from URNA explaining to me that they had instituted, for paid members, the ability to reconstitute your front friends page to list your top 8 "Best Friends"
But what if you have more than 8 Best Friends? What if they list YOU and you can NOT list THEM? Oh no! Surprised
So many of you wonderful girlfriends and boyfriends have reached out and touched my life that this presented a real problem to me. I had to find a solution. Here is mine starting in August.
I shall select a new top 8 "Front Page Friends" each month. Those people who are Gold Members and place me in their #1 slot on their front page will be in the top row, slots #3 & #4. Sorority Sisters of New England will be in slots #1 & #2.
Those Gold Members who have me on their front page in positions 2-8 will be in my second row, slots #7 & #8. Sorority Sisters of New England Gold Members will be in slot #5 and SSofNE Free Members will be in slot #6. Make any sense? Probably not:-)
I do not mean to slight non paying members but it is the paying members who support this site and the non paying members ability to have profiles here. Jon, Vicky, and Dan can not run this place as a charity.
My friends who care enough to list me on their front page at some point should receive some recognition. Saying "Everyone's my friend but ONLY THESE 8 will be on my front page forever!" seems a little too exclusive. I wish to thank these people for showing their friendship to me.
I will notify those selected that they have been selected. This is a small way to pay tribute in my monthly journal posting "SOME (MONTH) THOUGHTS".
This will be in lieu of my monthly "Karen's TGurl Awards". So many of you hold a special place in my heart. You have helped me so much. I hope this solution does not offend anyone. If so then please email me.
Thank you for reading this and understanding! Laughing *With Love & Respect* ~Karen~

"IF I CAN REACH FOR THE STARS IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORTING HELP OF MY TGIRLFRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS WHOSE SHOULDERS I STAND UPON !"
October is now here ! This is my favorite month of the year. Did you know that the WTNH TV8 (New Haven) Weatherman, Dr. Mel Goldstein, states that overall October is the least stormiest month of the year on average? HUMMM:-)
My favorite season is on tap ! The cooler, less humid days of autumn are a thrill for me. Warm days are followed by cool, crisp nights. The leaves on the trees of New England are adorned with bright fall colors. IT'S BOOT WEATHER GIRLS!!!!!
I hope this year to get some nice autumn pictures for this site. We shall see how well they come out!
Southern Comfort Conference ( 12 September - 16 September 2007 )
I attended my 4th SCC in Atlanta, Georgia this year. I arrived at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on Wednesday evening around 8:30 P.M. after an eventful flight.
I do have ONE MORE gripe with the airlines. Many of the airlines use smaller commuter jets now thus clogging up the airports with many more smaller planes and delaying flights. I also get irked with the virtually non existent luggage compartments on these flights. I went out and bought a much smaller piece of carry on luggage but since the overheads now can not store anything large than a loaf of bread I had to check all my belongings. Can you imagine going to a TG convention with no dresses????? At least I was allowed to carry my purse on board.
Once I got to the hotel I was politely "ambushed" by many friends. It was great hanging out in the lobby but after a day at work and a plane flight I was bushed. Fortunately my friend Alexis Rene bought me dinner so I did not starve. Thanks Alexis:-)
The hotel was new. I loved the decor of the hotel but heard rumblings that the service was not very good. I said they had better get their act together before the number of attendees to SCC tripled by Saturday night. Fortunately it did ! Disaster averted.
On Thursday I rolled out of bed to do a modeling session with Jamie Austin. I enjoyed it and got some great shots out in the garden with all the lovely flowers and the trees. I'm sitting on those pics for now. Sorry girls & guys !
In the afternoon one of my best friends, Lisa White of Massachusetts, arrived. She was my roommate and was attending SCC for the first time. When I greeted her up on the 3rd floor next to our room she looked so sweet and cute (of course she always does!!!!!). We chatted away in our room while I got her settled.
Dinner was at the Italian Restaurant in the lower level of the hotel. Lisa and I had Jenna Taylor, her roommate Lara, and Simone Lee as dinner partners. The food was great, the company even greater. I wish to thank Jenna for springing for the bill for me. Thanks sweetie:-):-):-) We were all feeling good after the wine.
That evening at dinner. I was wearing a hot blue, form fitting dress. I must admit that I was decked out to take no prisoners. None of the POWs seemed to mind surrendering to Lisa and I.
At any conventions there are room parties, visiting in the bars, and dancing. We did all three and hit the room around 4 A.M. BEDTIME !!!!! SNORE:-)
On Friday we slept to 11:30 A.M. and rolled out of bed to go to breakfast, errr lunch. The food was not notable. We did receive a pep talk on TG legislation winding its' way thru Congress. Hopefully discrimination against the TG community will be outlawed federally though I am not holding my breath on this.
In the evening we went out clubbing. Megan (who lives in Atlanta) drove us around in her Mercedes convertible. It was cool out but not bad. We hit this club and had a great time dancing, drinking, playing pool, drinking, chatting, and ahh drinking! Thanks for being a perfect tour guide Meagan. You are one live wire !
Lisa and I were in bed by 3:45 A.M. WOW earlier this night ! HA HA HA !
On Saturday we were dragging and since the lunches at the event were not to impress Lisa and I decided to curl up in bed and have room service. The Eggs Benedict breakfast (at noon time) was awesome. It was pricey but we deserved it!
In the afternoon I filmed a video for a television show. I'm not sure I did that well but the producer wanted to film Tgirls to portray our lives in a NON Jerry Springer type of atmosphere.
Funny thing is that I knew what I wanted to say UNTIL THE CAMERA STARTED ROLLING. I ad libbed it. If this show makes it to television look for it. With me in the show it maybe on the SciFi Channel !
The Saturday night banquet was great! The food was outstanding, the dancing and music was nice, and we each got a coffee mug as a keepsake. I got to bed "early" since I had to fly out the next morning at 9:30 A.M.
The flight home was not a problem. Thank goodness !
I want to give a huge thanks to my roommate Lisa White. She is one beautiful, classy, mature, and awesome friend. She was the best roommate by not snoring, hogging the bathroom, or fighting over make up.
We hung out a lot and went all over the place. I could not have asked for a more perfect roommate. In every way Lisa White is amazing. Girlfriend thanks for a nice time. You are definitely the best and girls a lot older than you should follow your example of class and dignity, mixed with plenty of sexiness! You have nothing to learn from them!!!!!
THE MAIN PICTURE
This picture was taken in June at the Be All Convention in Chicago. I was standing in the center atrium. Why did I post a picture of the Be All right after SCC you may ask. Well everyone else posted pictures of SCC. I am giving the site a change of pace.
Dear Karen,
Why would anyone want to put you on television? I see no point in it. You have nothing to offer.
Miss I.M.A. _itch Downer's Ville, OK
Dear Miss _itch,
Ahh I know you so well. Maybe I will be the lead in for a new reality show. Friday the 13th, part 56! (Scream erupt all over!).
I agree with the sentiments of many here regarding, "You got a 10" being repeatedly written in guest books. It's okay to do it but it does "get old". I'm guilty too ! I only started to do this so folks would know that I awarded them a 10. When I write to ANYONE in a positive manner from now on then you AUTOMATICALLY have my 10 vote if your ratings are on. I also do not "cut & paste" the very same guest book comments, by the hundreds, each day to everyone. That "illusion" of individuality of comments to people when it, in reality, is not is just plain insincere.
FOXYKAREN.NET
KAREN'S 8 FRONT PAGE FRIENDS FOR OCTOBER 2007

Frank Disalle September 10th, 2007 3:55 pm MDTHi, everybody!
I have just begun my Internship at Iona College in New Rochelle NY, in Marital and Family Therapy. I work out of their Family Mental Health Center 914 633 2000. I am very interested in working with the TG Community. This is where I can help you: I have been here over a year, and learned a heck of a lot. With my help, and my team, and my extremely experienced supervisor, you can work out a lot of TransGender issues. Can you get a "Letter" for hormones? I don't know. Can I write up a history for you that will make it easier for you to get a letter from another Therapist? Absolutely?
How do you help me? I need client contact to graduate and get certified: 500 hours (one client at a time) to graduate, and 1000 more hours to get a certificate in New York State.
Interested?
eMail me at fd10801@gmail.com
It couldn't hurt, and it could profoundly improve your life.
With love and care,
Frank

An Outing With Friends ( 3 August - 6 August 2007 )
A friend of mine, Syntha Walker of Minnesota, wanted to come east and visit. Having never met I said "Okay".
I met here at the airport on Friday evening in Providence. We headed up to Sutton, MA in a spectacular thunder storm. What an awesome light show! Once in Sutton my friend, Jackie Thompson of New Hampshire, met us.
On Saturday we all did some modeling with Jamie Austin and had some great pictures taken. We then all headed out to dinner.
Later we ventured to the Randolph Country Club. It was rather dead but we still had a great time. I think Syntha was impressed, especially since a guy hit on her ! HA HA HA !
On Sunday we hung out at the hotel and watched movies and then went out for dinner. Later, Jackie had to return home.
On Monday Syntha and I went shopping after which I took her back to the airport. Girl I hope you had a nice time here in the east:-)
THE MAIN PICTURE
This picture was taken last September 2006 in front of the "Wet Bar" in Atlanta, Georgia at an SCC clubbing event on Friday night. I was dressed to the nines for the big city.
I've been sitting on this picture for a year. I thought bringing it out now was appropriate since SCC 2007 is here. I will be attending! Will you??? I hope so ! Come on down and party with all of us girls!!!!!!!!

Dear Karen,
My mascara always "clumps" on my eyelashes when I use it. How can I prevent this from happening?
Upset And Crying In Florida
Dear Upset,
First off, DON'T CRY ! The mascara will run and make you look like an extra from the "Rocky Horror Picture Show!"
When you pull the mascara coated plunger out of the tube it is loaded with thick mascara. Tap the pointed bottom tip onto a paper tissue or paper towel. This will get rid of the heavy clump of mascara and leave the right amount on the grooved wand itself for you to apply to your lovely lashes. Try it sweetie. It works:-)

Hi Everyone !
"IF I CAN REACH FOR THE STARS IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORTING HELP OF MY TGIRLFRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS WHOSE SHOULDERS I STAND UPON !"
To The URNA COMMUNITY:
This is by far, the saddest, and most depressing journal entry that I have written here in URNA in 4 years. A noted supporter and friend of the trans community has suffered a terrible loss.
Dr. William A. Petit is a noted endocrinologist in Connecticut where I reside. He is on the board of the Gender Identity Clinic.I have been a patient of his for many years. He is a most remarkable man.
Besides assisting me with hormones he has helped me with a number of health related issues, including detecting a chemical deficiency in my body which could have potentially affected my heart. He saved my life from a hidden disease.
Most importantly, I consider him a friend.
It is sad for me to relate the following news.
On Monday, 23 July 2007 two men invaded Dr. Petit's home. They brutally assaulted Dr. Petit, tortured his wife and two daughters, raped two of the ladies, robbed his bank account, murdered his entire family, set fire to Dr. Petit's house, and stole his SUV to escape the crime scene. The police have caught two suspects.
Dr. Petit has been a strong supporter of the transgendered community. He has helped out so many people in a number of varied manners.
Understandably I am quite downcast and despondent. I have received more bad news today.
It is very difficult especially with friends visiting me here, to "carry on". The terrible news plays out, and will continue to play out, with a funeral, numerous memorial services, a police investigation, and years of court trials, appeals, and possibly executions of the offenders.
For Dr. Petit the horrors will last a lifetime. For everyone else the horrors will last for a decade or two.
If you wish to know more then please go to the Hartford Courant website. You can also make donations there if you wish.
If I seen rather torn and preoccupied over the next few weeks it will be from this tragedy. Life is not fair and this proves the point. I grieve for my friend and three lovely ladies who did not deserve this fate.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Petit family. I know many trans people in New England will be affected by this sad event.
I do not like to post such disturbing news here in URNA. I hope I do not offend any of you.
Sorority Sisters of New England event ( 26 July - 29 July 2007 )
The group named above (SSofNE) is a Yahoo Group. We held our first outing last week. A number of the girls meet at Jamie Austin's studio for makeovers. I played photographer. I love working behind the camera.
Brenda Sue of Illinois and Jackie T of New Hampshire really strutted their stuff in front of the lens. They enjoyed their time and they looked ~GORGEOUS~!!!!! Way to go girls:-)
We then journeyed to our hotel in Boston, freshened up, had some "liquid refreshment" and went out to the Randolph Country Club. Being a Thursday night we knew it would be dead and it sure was!
This gave us more time to talk outside on the patio and get acquainted more. Jackie and I had a great time on the dance floor. Jackie said I taught her alot of moves. I'll not elaborate on that but I think she had a great time dirty dancing with me ;-)
On Friday we all rolled out of bed at noon. Some girls rolled out of bed easier than others. I was the worst.
We went to an early dinner at the Olive Garden. We had drinks, salad, drinks, pasta dishes, drinks, dessert, and uhhhh DRINKS !!!!! Burp.
We were then met by the ultimate party girl of Boston and all around trouble maker, Annette Brunette. She came to the hotel with her photo album of photo shop doctored pics of me. I'm still not paying the extortion money Annette!
We then headed to everyone's "favorite" club, Jacques. We had a great time chatting with everyone, watching the floor show, and getting more than a few offers from very nice gentleman. I'm glad to see that they were interested in my brains and not my bod. At least that is what they told me folks ! But why would I have to go with them to their cars???
We then went to "Machine". This club is ear plug mandatory. I did not have mine.
All the girls had a great time tearing up the dance floor. I was a little bit dragging due to other news on my mind but still enjoyed the club. Quite a few guys enjoyed talking to us ladies :-) We got to bed around 4 A.M.
On Saturday I drove the ladies in a caravan down to Connecticut to my house. We hit a 20 mile traffic jam on I-95 due to a concert. We lost two hours there.
I took the ladies to an outside restaurant where we dined on the docks overlooking New London harbor. We had great seafood and watched the sun set. How romantic !
We later went to Ocean Beach Park. There was an outdoor rock concert with music you could dance to! Sherry and Brenda really rocked the boardwalk with their moves. Jackie and I did okay but the other ladies out did us for sure. Wait till next time girls ! Payback !
One by one the ladies left Sunday. I had to wait at the airport with Brenda Sue for 4 hours till they confirmed that her flight was leaving- 8 hours late ! I took her out to dinner to cut the boredom.
All in all a great weekend. Thanks ladies for keeping me preoccupied with better thoughts. You gals are angels. Annette, you are still a trouble maker !
THE MAIN PICTURE
This picture is was taken in my hotel room in Boston on Friday night before we went out clubbing. It was ~HOT~!!!!! I mean the weather, not my outfit or me.

Frank Disalle July 30th, 2007 4:43 pm MDTI've been coming here a year now -- got my anniversaru greeting a few weeks ago -- and I am more lost than when I got here. I have learned so much since I got here; like a free college education in sexuality/ But what have I learned about members of the transgender community? While they give off an "aura" of uniqueness, there are some qualities they seem to all share. They are generally afraid, and conceal it in dozens of clever ways: adolescent flirting, snarkiness, pseudo - cynicisml faked sophistication and elitism, and many, many more.I don't pretend to know what they are afraid of, but wearing a mask, and insisting it is not a mask is not helpful -- like "ignoring the man behind the curtain" I see the man and the curtain, so why continue the charade?Do I sound disillusioned? Frustrated? Upset? I don't deny it. And I am truly not attempting to assign blame. There's a whole lot of "me" in this "mess", but I feel like I'm lost in a neighborhood where I don't speak the language. Who do you ask for directions, when no one understands you? Ask questions, and you are accused of being intolerant; respond to the misbehavior of others, and you are told YOUR behavior is unacceptable -- as if men are here solely to be mistreated. If you want this to be Girls Together Only (and how many of you enter the room, say "Hello, girls!" rather than "Hello, everybody!") then call it GTO,instead of URNA, and be done with it.I'm sorry about the "stream of consciousness", and I am prepared for the usual, "Suck it up! You're on our turf, now! Deal with it" responses, but i had to get it out of my system. Thanks for listening.
Frank Disalle July 24th, 2007 7:08 pm MDT AGA Newsletter; Volume 2, Issue 1 Author - James T. Clarke, MSW, LCSW, Gender Specialist A frequent question posed by some individuals who are pursuing transition from biological gender characteristics to desired gender presentation is why do I need psychotherapy? The question is valid. After all, being transgender is not, in and of itself, a psychological deficiency that requires intervention, and unlike more recognized therapeutic interventions, there is no need to intervene to change the individual’s core beliefs. Being transgender is something that needs to be embraced, appreciated and validated. However, the process of realigning gender presentation, whether this realignment is desired on a full time or periodic basis or includes hormonal or surgical intervention, is a process that should not be undertaken without assistance. The road to transition goes through each individual’s social and eco-systems and involves internal and external reactions to the decision. The best interests of the transgender client can only be achieved by assisting the individual to identify and achieve their desired outcome with minimum psychological trauma or interpersonal relationship disruption. That is why any therapeutic intervention with a transgender client should include an understanding and utilization of the Harry Benjamin Standard’s of Care for Gender Identity Disorder. The stated goal of the Standards of Care (SOC) is to assist the individual to achieve lasting personal comfort and maximize overall psychological well-being and self- fulfillment. It is imperative that this become the primary goal of the therapeutic intervention. For many individuals seeking to change gender presentation, the psychotherapist and other members of the healthcare field are seen as gatekeepers, unfairly given the power to make decisions that affect the individual instead of respecting the right of the individual to determine what is in their best interest. These are legitimate concerns; however, these beliefs can be reframed if the therapist communicates with the client that they are not a gatekeeper, but rather an experienced guide who can assist the client to finally open the gates to gender freedom and be fully prepared for what is on the other side-- both the positive and potentially negative. Preparation, knowledge, understanding and an honest presentation of the realities of the transition process are imperative. To this end, the essential goal of the psychotherapist is to establish a supportive alliance based on the client’s right to self determination and to assist the client to set goals, access resources and engage in productive dialogue that will assist in problem identification and resolution. All transgender clients share commonalities and yet, each client is a unique individual with unique problems. The assessment process of the therapeutic intervention is an integral part of establishing the unique needs of the individual. A persistent argument among those who seek to unjustly pathologize transgender clients centers on whether Gender Identity Disorder (GID), is biologically or environmentally based. In other words, the old argument over nature verses nurture. Unfortunately, many ill informed healthcare providers would prefer to believe that the condition is based solely on environmental factors and can, therefore, be reversed. In reality, it is both biological and environmental. Even though much is left to be done in terms of research in this area, most current studies support the idea that being transgender is a biologically based condition related to a brain anomaly. Specific studies have demonstrated that the hypothalamus in a transgender individual is similar in size and consistent with that of a biological member of the individual’s desired gender as opposed to the birth gender inappropriately assigned based on existing sexual anatomy. So there exists support for the argument that being transgender is biologically based. Clearly there is an urgent need for more research, and the utilization of MRIs could be an ideal method of finally providing convincing data to substantiate the biological origins of the transgender condition. However, you cannot dismiss the role of the environment on the emotional or psychological development of the transgender client. Strong family and societal pressures, too often tragically negative, are exerted on the developing child and continue through adolescence and adulthood. It is these pressures that can produce co-occurring emotional reactions that eventually become the primary focus of psychotherapy. Of all these emotions, the most debilitating is shame. Until informed otherwise, the transgender client has no shame or guilt about the condition, but when shame is introduced within the family system, usually by parents or by school systems and/or peer pressure, the resulting internal conflict can result in depression, separation or generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, chronic stress disorder and in certain cases, the development of personality disorders including but not limited to borderline and avoidant personality disorders. Additional reactions to overt or covert shame and external pressure to conform include isolation; distress; problematic relationship issues; an inability to function in social, educational and employment situations; avoidant behaviors that include substance abuse, sexual addiction, self- injurious behaviors; and in far too many cases, suicide ideation that can lead to attempts and completion. In addition, being forced to deny one’s true gender identity can lead to medically related conditions, specifically but not limited to ulcers, hypertension and heart conditions. Shame and attempts at denial can have other detrimental effects. Biological males who are transgender can engage in what is referred to as the flight to masculinity which can include entering into ill-advised marriages and pursuing dangerous occupational choices as a means of preventing unwanted disclosure of their transgender status. Transgender, biological females who are faced with shame are forced to abandon their innate or natural sense of masculinity and instead retreat into the psychologically traumatic and painful socially-sanctioned role of femininity, and may turn to eating disorders or self-injurious behaviors such as cutting as a means to maintain the perception of control over their bodies. In other cases they are forced to accept the undesired role of being a lesbian as opposed to embracing their true gender and moving towards self-actualization. The process of psychotherapy is, therefore, a process of support, validation, exploration, assessment of ego strength and the identification of co-existing mood disorders, destructive emotions, distorted self concepts and avoidant behaviors. It is in essence an orchestrated movement towards being genuine and a chance to put the puppet of undesired gender conformity away. As the process continues, therapy also focuses on family and other social system pressures including barriers to progress and resolving these conflicts. Psychotherapy with the transgender client is multifaceted, but in the end, it is about assisting clients to simply become themselves. It is imperative that a psychotherapist working with a transgender client be a trained gender specialist. A gender specialist is able to assess, explore and identify differential diagnoses where applicable and coordinate a treatment plan that meets the client’s needs. Of equal importance, a particular problem can arise when an individual meets with a therapist not trained to understand the needs of the community, specifically the issues related to countertransference. This occurs when the therapist projects his or her beliefs, misconceptions, biases or ignorance of the condition into the therapy session. Countertransference will prevent the creation of an effective therapeutic alliance and invalidate the client’s sense of self. It can also create hesitancy in the client to trust other therapists and seek to continue with transition on his/her own. A therapist that assists transgender clients must be completely non-judgmental and have the ability to understand the needs of the client from the client’s perspective if they are to see the woman or man within and be able to help that person to emerge. You cannot, nor should any therapist seek to cure a transgender client, primarily because the client does not want to or more importantly need to be cured. The essential goals of psychotherapy are, therefore, to increase internal self-validation, support self-determination and eliminate individual and societal barriers to gender congruity by creating a therapeutic environment that stresses the right of the client to achieve self-fulfillment while providing the tools through therapeutic interventions that empower the client on his/her individual journey. BE ALL CONVENTION: CHICAGO, IL ( 31 MAY - 3 JUNE 2007 )
I always wanted to visit me friends in the Midwest. This trip helped make this wish a reality.
I flew in to O'Hare Airport on Thursday night after a 4 hour flight delay. I was told in Providence, RI that my 5:30 P.M. flight would be delayed to 7 P.M. and then 8 P.M. due to bad weather in Chicago. A nice group of guys suggested I go to dinner with them. Mind you, it was an airport restaurant (Mexican cuisine) !
After we ordered our food and drinks we started to chow down. Then the ticket agent came running along to tell us the flight was loading. The guys said it was too bad that we had to leave the food/drink virtually untouched. I said forget the food and ~CHUGGED~ my drink. BAD IDEA KAREN!!!!!
Once we taxied onto the runway I remarked that weather moved west to east. Enough said Karen! The pilot then announced that due to bad weather we had to wait on the runway. We sat there an hour and a half. And I sat there with an empty stomach, save for two drinks. I was feeling fine:-) *Giggles*
We got into Chicago four hours late.
The hotel for this event was so nice. It was a new venue for the convention. I had a room on the top floor in the back with a lovely view of the countryside. I wish to thank the staff of the Be All Convention for getting this suite for me at the very last minute.
On Friday I attended a couple of seminars and went out to dinner with Keri Renault and her wife Sunny. Keri told me she would be in boy mode due to an electrolysis session. How would I recognize her?????
At the appointed hour I sat out in front of the hotel on a bench waiting for Keri and Sunny. Soon I was joined by a handsome looking guy sitting next to me on the bench who seemed much too friendly and started flirting with me. I got nervous and was wondering how to get this dude away from me gracefully. Then Keri started to laugh. She pranked me GOOD ! Okay Keri you got me cold. Now comes payback sweetie:-)
Dinner was at a Japanese restaurant. We were joined by a friend of Keri's. I had some sort of fish dish. The food was GREAT and the fish was DEAD so I was happy:-)
The conversation was awesome and I really enjoyed getting to know Sunny. She is a lovely and supportive lady !
On Saturday my friend, Brenda Sue, came on over to visit me in my hotel room since she lived in the area. It was great to meet her as well. We chatted for 3 hours and the time flew by. When she left we were almost in tears. This girl is sooooo sweet !!!!!
My dinner partner was Juliette, a local girl. She met me at the hotel and we hopped into the van for a ride on the parkway to the world headquarters of Sara Lee for our banquet.
The van rolled up the driveway to the 8 story building. We stepped out onto a red carpet where the cameras were rolling. I will pay for the camera which broke when they took a picture of me. They also took a group picture of all the convention members.
Inside we were whisked into a 3 story marble lobby with chandeliers. It was lovely. As we proceeded down the stairs to the dinning room the sun was setting on the lake behind the building. The effect was gorgeous.
Dinner was prime rib/shrimp with all the accoutrement's. They also had a jazz band playing.
As dinner was going on larger screens scrolled down from the ceiling and all the participants saw themselves stepping out of the vehicles in front of the building. When Juliette said "There You Are Karen!" I tried to slide down in my chair under the table. She stopped me with a laugh.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this convention they then had fireworks. With the mood music and lighting it was so romantic. I had to grab onto someone. Juliette and I entwined our arms around our bodies. The lovely evening was ended with a sweet kiss! Thanks sweetie pie!!!!! This was truly a night to remember.
I later met many more girls back at the hotel in the bar, lobby, and at room parties. I got to bed at 3 A.M. Just in time to get up at 5 A.M. to go the the airport and my uneventful flight home. I arrived home tired but happy.
RANDOLPH COUNTRY CLUB: RANDOLPH, MA ( 9-10 JUNE 2007 )
While out in Chicago one of my best friends, Tiffany Starr, asked if I was going to the RCC the next Saturday night. I told Tiff that being tried and loopy at 2:30 A.M. I could not even focus on a week later. I did say "Probably Not!"
Well a week later I was rested and ready to go again. Another best friend, Denise Armel, greeted me at the hotel with flowers. Thanks honey ! You are so special to me:-)
We got made up and headed to the RCC. The place was over flowing with people. I spent most of the time dancing with Jamie L. and Taylor J. Our moves impressed a couple of GG's enough that they came on out to give us some competition. Jamie, Taylor, and myself later posed for pictures in front of, and on top of, the bar. That was fun!
There was an altercation during the evening and we had to duck flying drinks, ice, and falling chairs. Combat pay will be provided to all attendees!
BOSTON OUTING: BOSTON, MA ( 22-24 JUNE 2007)
This was a busy month for me. I generally do not party every single weekend, contrary to what many girls think:-)
My friend, Lisa B. was coming up to visit in the area. I had not seen her in a ~LONG~ time so when she asked me to come on up for a visit I could not resist. After all she is really super nice and cute as well.
We met up on Friday evening and went on out to dinner. We had a lovely time catching up on old times as we feed our faces.
During the day on Saturday she had to work. I drove into the city to do some sight seeing and shopping. I bought a few items, saw a few sites, and met a cute guy.
Saturday night Lisa and I met up again. We had a nice time enjoying each others' company.
On Sunday Lisa had to work again. My friend Jackie T. drove down from New Hampshire to see me. We really hit it off. We went and visited the Kennedy Presidential Museum. It was really interesting and the weather was superb.
Later we had dinner together at the Olive Garden. We shared great times, food, and lotsa giggles! We then departed in mid evening to go our separate ways. I really enjoyed meeting my GFs.
THE MAIN PICTURE
This picture is was taken at the Kennedy Presidential Library. Don't I look presidential?????

Frank Disalle September 10th, 2008 8:46 am MDTTransgender Murder, Safety and Dating I really hate saying this, but it needs to be said...There are many young transgender women who are not careful about dating guys. They think that because they are young, pretty and passable they are free to date as they wish. The truth of the matter is, we have to be concerned with our safety the same as any other woman and even more. Even genetic women have to be concerned with being raped, assaulted and becoming victims of domestic violence. As a transgender woman things can become even more riskier, especially if we are pre or non-op. If we are found out men can get very upset, angry and often very violent. No man likes being lied to, but even worse the "thought" they have had sex with a person of the "same sex" and committed a "homosexual act" can drive them to become very angry and often resulting in brutal assault and even murder. Such is the case in the murder of Angie Zapata. All the hate crimes legislation in the world will do little to help us in this type of situation. I feel that many transgender murders could be prevented if only they had been upfront about their gender and screened their dates a little bit better. Does this justify these gruesome murders, positively not, but it is a very sad reality that may very well have been prevented with a bit more caution and honesty. As a transexual woman I get many requests for dates. Many of these hits are online and through social networking sites such as myspace and facebook. Even though my profiles are as transgender oriented, I get many hits from very straight men. My very first reply to any person who hits on me is "I am a male to female transexual woman and give a brief description of myself. This way no one can say I lied to them or deceived them about my gender. Usually the response back is a quick no thank you or no response at all.As much as we all like to go "stealth", I feel it is very important to be upfront about our transgender status. We need to be just as cautious as any other genetic woman and even more. Lastly, we need to screen our dates and know who we are dating. from TGLynn's Place http://tglynnsplace.blogspot.com/2008/07/transgender-murder-safety-and-dating.html[Comment on this post]
THIS IS ONLY A TEST! SOME JUNE THOUGHTS
Karen Reeves June 4th, 2008 7:13 pm MDTHi Everyone!
This is a test to see if I can input my journal entry. Fingers crossed!
Summer is almost here. I know that 90 degree weather and 95% humidity does not do much for makeup. The season does not always lend itself to dressing up. The dressed go into the box and the boxes go into the closest.
Why not slip into that swimsuit and go on out and get a great tan in a nice secluded surrounding. Or be more brave and go out in public with a cute, sleeveless top and min shorts/skirt. Give the guys some "eye candy!"
*Kisses*

How Do You Spell "adamant"? IWTTFIMLDOI
Frank Disalle March 21st, 2008 12:07 pm MDTThere are people in Chat who don't talk to me.

When One Is Slandered...
Frank Disalle March 10th, 2008 7:34 pm MDTThere is a Member of URNA telling lies about me, and I must correct them here.

FIRST EVENT 2008: SOME FEBRUARY THOUGHTS
Karen Reeves February 6th, 2008 5:35 pm MSTFebruary 2nd is Ground Hog Day.
My sorority sisters are the best and Jackie you are an awesome roommie
I'm already planning on 1st Event 2009!

I Wanna Be An Obama T Girl!
Nicole Asahi February 4th, 2008 10:35 pm MSTYeah, Barack is my man!
The truth is that, he was taught to put his hand over his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance, and to *SING* during the national anthem:
http://www.barackobama.com/factcheck/2007/11/12/obama_is_a_patriot.php
(I know, I know, that's a link to barackobama.com, but the references therein are from national news sources.)
What this country needs is a President with more intelligence than an amoeba and less hard-headed than a mutant mule. In fact, I think that EVEN IF by some miracle, John McCain gets elected to the U.S. Presidency, we'd STILL be better off than today!

I Am SICK of "Old Jokes"!
Frank Disalle January 4th, 2008 8:06 am MSTIt's TRUE!I am starting up an Internet Radio Station that plays music and provides information ...
The musical format is not yet set, so any kind of music -- and all kinds of music -- might get a spot!
You must have between 1,500 and 2,000 songs MINIMUM (on your Hard Drive -- MP3 preferred)
You must have a STRONG DESIRE to be a DJ on the Radio
You must have a GOOD SPEAKING VOICE
You must not be shy!
If you are experienced, fine; if you are not NO EXPERIENCE is REQUIRED -- you WILL be TRAINed
No one will be paid , unless and until the station makes money
THIS WILL BE FUN -- but there will be rules!

Subject: Jay Leno
Frank Disalle December 16th, 2007 3:33 pm MSTSubject: Jay Leno

Do We Need New Chat Rules??
Frank Disalle November 24th, 2007 6:48 pm MSTI think we do ::
This would be a start:
From Dani'sT - Room
http://www.danistroom.com/transvestite-chat-room/transvestite-transexual-chat-room-help.htm
Enjoy the transvestite chat room!
Please let me know what you think...
I will send you comments anonymously to Jon!
Thanks,
Frank

Check out my galleries here! I've added 7 new secondary pictures on my front page, rounded out my gallery on BeAll/SCC with 13 pictures, added 2 new pics in "Karen's Escapades", and started a new gallery with 5 pictures of my former front page pictures. That is 27 pictures in all. Enjoy!

Hi Everyone !
"IF I CAN REACH FOR THE STARS IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORTING HELP OF MY TGIRLFRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS WHOSE SHOULDERS I STAND UPON !"
~SOME NOVEMBER THOUGHTS~
November is now here and all turkeys are getting nervous
Mr. Eager Beaver
Beaver Falls, OR
Dear Mr. Beaver,
That is a hard question.

1. You naysayers can say to me, "I told you so !"
Laughing

SCC WAS FUNTASTIC~SOME OCTOBER THOUGHTS

Hi Everyone !
"IF I CAN REACH FOR THE STARS IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORTING HELP OF MY TGIRLFRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS WHOSE SHOULDERS I STAND UPON !"

Dear Karen,
Why would anyone want to put you on television? I see no point in it. You have nothing to offer.
Miss I.M.A. _itch
Downer's Ville, OK

If You Need Help, I Need Your Help!
Interested? eMail me at fd10801@gmail.com It couldn't hurt, and it could profoundly improve your life. With love and care, Frank[Comment on this post]

An Outing With Friends ( 3 August - 6 August 2007 ) A friend of mine, Syntha Walker of Minnesota, wanted to come east and visit.
THE MAIN PICTURE This picture was taken last September 2006 in front of the "Wet Bar" in Atlanta, Georgia at an SCC clubbing event on Friday night. I was dressed to the nines for the big city. I've been sitting on this picture for a year. I thought bringing it out now was appropriate since SCC 2007 is here. I will be attending! Will you??? I hope so ! Come on down and party with all of us girls!!!!!!!!
ASK KAREN I hope you like this feature also. Just email me any questions you might have and if I select your question, I will answer it next month. PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR QUESTION AND DO NOT WRITE IT IN MY GUEST BOOK. YOU WILL OVERWHELM IT! No obscene questions please! Dear Karen, My mascara always "clumps" on my eyelashes when I use it. How can I prevent this from happening? Upset And Crying In Florida Dear Upset, First off, DON'T CRY ! The mascara will run and make you look like an extra from the "Rocky Horror Picture Show!" When you pull the mascara coated plunger out of the tube it is loaded with thick mascara. Tap the pointed bottom tip onto a paper tissue or paper towel. This will get rid of the heavy clump of mascara and leave the right amount on the grooved wand itself for you to apply to your lovely lashes. Try it sweetie. It works:-)
FOXYKAREN.NET My website has been totally revamped. It has three new galleries, for a total of 30 new pictures. The pictures are also in larger frame when you click upon them in the drop down bar. Now you don't need to wear glasses. You can reach right out and touch me:-) The site also now includes a News Links where you can find out my latest travels and event appearances.
KAREN'S NEW YEAR RESOLUTION I shall continue to work on this resolution in 2007. I still need to better myself in this department alot! ! !
KAREN'S 8 FRONT PAGE FRIENDS FOR SEPTEMBER 2007 I noticed in March that the four friends on my front page were now boxed in yellow and they had four others joining them there as well. What was this, an outbreak of Yellow Fever? Oh my ! I then received an email from URNA explaining to me that they had instituted, for paid members, the ability to reconstitute your front friends page to list your top 8 "Best Friends" But what if you have more than 8 Best Friends? What if they list YOU and you can NOT list THEM? Oh no! Surprised So many of you wonderful girlfriends and boyfriends have reached out and touched my life that this presented a real problem to me. Probably not:-) I do not mean to slight non paying members but it is the paying members who support this site and the non paying members ability to have profiles here. ~A Family Murdered: Some Thoughts August 2007
Karen Reeves August 2nd, 2007 7:58 pm MDT"IF I CAN REACH FOR THE STARS IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORTING HELP OF MY TGIRLFRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS WHOSE SHOULDERS I STAND UPON !"
This is by far, the saddest, and most depressing journal entry that I have written here in URNA in 4 years. A noted supporter and friend of the trans community has suffered a terrible loss.
Dr. William A. Petit is a noted endocrinologist in Connecticut where I
reside. He is on the board of the Gender Identity Clinic.I have been a patient of his for many years. He is a most remarkable man.
Besides assisting me with hormones he has helped me with a number of
health related issues, including detecting a chemical deficiency in my
body which could have potentially affected my heart. He saved my life from a hidden disease.
Most importantly, I consider him a friend.
It is sad for me to relate the following news.
On Monday, 23 July 2007 two men invaded Dr. Petit's home. They
brutally assaulted Dr. Petit, tortured his wife and two daughters,
raped two of the ladies, robbed his bank account, murdered his entire
family, set fire to Dr. Petit's house, and stole his SUV to escape the
crime scene.
Do you drink alcohol?
Mr. T. Totaler
Teapot Dome, Wyoming
You Don't you wear alot of jewelry and once had a television show? Well never mind.
To answer your question, Do birds fly? Nuff said ;-)

Have I Totally Lost It?
Thanks for listening.[2 comments]
The Role of Psychotherapy in Meeting the Needs of the Transgender Community
This is the first in a series of articles about Psychotherapeutic Interventions with the Transgender Community. Some Thoughts:July 2007
Karen Reeves June 30th, 2007 6:50 pm MDT"IF I CAN REACH FOR THE STARS IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORTING HELP OF MY TGIRLFRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS WHOSE SHOULDERS I STAND UPON !"
July is here ! For many girls this is a tough season to dress. Can you say "Sweaty?" Don't be afraid to venture out in shorts and limit the makeup to foundation and powder if you can. "Shades" will help you look the girl role and provide you some anonymity.
She is a lovely and supportive lady
On Saturday my friend, Brenda Sue, came on over to visit me in my hotel
room since she lived in the area.
