Recommend a place to stay in Downtown Boston?
October 7th, 2010 6:09 pm MDT
My best friend are going to be in town to see Belle & Sebastian on Oct 15 at the Wang Theatre in Boston. Anyone can recommend a B&B, rent out a room, or suggest a affordable place to crash two nights, it'd be much appreciated. Cheers!
Karalyn Kidde is bringing Karalyn’s Oasis to New Jersey (Nov 29, 2009)
November 24th, 2008 11:41 pm MST
The legendary Karalyn Kidde, who brought you T* parties (even before the word transgender had been widely used) at 29th st in New York City, then on to 44th st. Edelweiss, before Guliani, dressed as Marilyn Monroe (he's jes jelis!) busted it, and then onto to 54th st, and then down to the now infamous INA’s Silver Swan on 20th, and then off to Warren St.
Now she’s bringing her Oasis, a trans* theme night over to the PL Lounge in New Jersey for the very first time, the opening night is NOVEMBER 29, the last Saturday of this month.
I know there are a lot of girls who would prefer to change on
location. There’ll be an area for getting your warpaint on inside the
establishment. Parking is free and it’s a $5 donation at the door. The
P&L Lounge is located on 49 Louis Street in South Hackensack, New
Jersey, just off Phiilips Ave and Rt 46 .(tel: (201) 440-2552 )
It is located behind the old Flamingo Bar, near the Super 8 motel.
I have been told there are a lot of motels nearby, which is good...in case you need to...you know, take a hot bath, hop on a plane in Teterboro airport and fly off to Bolivia for a taco (that's crossdresser code for "get home in time to take the wife and kids to church")
Got mistaken as Sarah Palin at a Connecticut Halloween party
October 22nd, 2008 1:58 am MDT
....and I wasn't even dressed up!!!! I make it a point never to dress up for Halloween. I use the other 364 days to dress up instead! Anyway... I got mistaken for Sarah Palin at a Halloween party this weekend. I dressed the way I always dress year round....as an Old School Marm with long conservative pleated skirt and shirt + cardigan sweater, glasses, and bangs. I'm just glad Sarah is bringing bangs back into vogue.
