Hey to all our close to Philly girls and guys....if you are coming to our annual holiday party, i need to know by tuesday. If you dont know about it, its at a place called L2, in Philly. We have a private 2nd floor room, our own bar and bathrooms. Its $45.00 per person, cash bar. It includes a full buffet, with such things as prime rib, salmon, chicken mikie hot and cold hors d'overs. there is also a DJ and dancing. Its a great safe place for 1st timers, old timers are ANY timers!

HEY TO ALL OUR PHILLY FREINDS! Its time for our annual Holiday Party! It will be Dec 1st, at L2 resturant in Philly. Its $45.00 per person, cash bar. The buffet will have such items as; filet, chicken, fish, salads, hot and cold apps. The place has a private 2nd floor, which we are renting, with its own bar and powder rooms. Its a VERY safe location. There will be a DJ and a dancefloor. There is limited room, so contact me for more info.

On logo tonight at 7;00 pm is a rerun of the democratic debate reguarding only LGBT issues. It was a great way to see some true colors!

Happy Independence day!! N0t only should we be thankful of our countries independence...we should also celebrate OUR growing independence... from fear, intollerance, closed mindedness and ignorance!! We, as trans people, are making unprecidented gains in acceptance in the eyes of the public. And we need to all help this positive trend continue. Join a support group, hell START one if you have none near you. Go the the rallies, the picnics, anywhere we can help make a positive difference. Sure, we have a long way to go, but at no time in recent history, have there been SO many of us portrayed in public, compassionatly, fairly and with understanding. Have a happy forth!!! Kristin
Trans partys and public acceptance

SOO...I have been going to two partys in Philly on a regular basis now, and am having a BLAST! Kalinas monday night t girl party and Angela's 3rd Sat party at Shangrala. I have been going out and about, as Kristin, cautiously mind you, for almost 4 years now. And partys like these really help your confidence, when you venture into the vanilla world of the "normal" people. Finally, the world IS catching on...we are NOT people to be avoided, shunned or made fun of. Even 2 soap operas are showing us in a fair, caring and compassionate light. It wont happen overnight, but at LEAST it IS happening! So get out there, to these or any TG or gay freindly place and ENJOY yourself! And even if you are not comfortable in public...get to these places, for you WILL be! All dressed up and no place to go, is no way to go thru life. Hugs, Kristin

Well...I came out to my horse freinds at the barn where I keep Sierra .....and it could NOT have been better!!! (Hence my pic of me in my REALLY sexy riding outfit) :) You kinda dress like a girl on a horse anyway, but now i dont have to hide and they can now stop wondering why I have purple long nails every weekend. AND they now know Im not gay!! (why does EVERYONE think this!!?) Im still doing the laser thing...slow progress, but its about 80% gone. Oh! New party in Philly alert!! If you dont know Kalina, (www.transvamp.com), she and Christine are hosting a TG and freinds party each Monday night at Tavern on Camac, in Philly. Trans and freinds party at Shagrala!

Hi all. There is a trans party tonight at a place called Shangrala in Wayne Pa, 5 min from King of Prussia Pa. Angela Gardner rents the bar and back room from 10-2. Its always fun in a safe and almost private atmosphere. If anyone needs directions or info, please let me know. Also, there is a Renaissance meeting before, at 7pm (www.ren.org) thanks, Kristin
Outreach

Well, I went to my second outreach presentation, For Renaissance, at Temple U and had a blast! I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids. there were 2 of us; I was the transgendered gurl and there was a woman who had a complete SRS. We do these in the human sexuality classes to show that diversity and being different is not something bad. In fact...I like to show how cool it is!! The one main misconception, is that ALL...and I DO mean EVERYONE in these classes thinks we are all gay! So, that is one of the big things the kids learn. (as well as that we know where ALL the great shoe sales are!) :) We, if anyone actually reads this, have a great day!!! Kristin
