Shopping En Femme

This evening I was walking back to my car after doing some window shopping at a local strip mall, when it happened. This woman in her late twenties called out to me saying "Katie?" I shook my head no and kept walking. At first I was a little shocked that a genetic girl had talked to me while I was en femme. Then as I sat in my car, I started to feel flattered. I must have looked passable enough that she mistook me for her female friend.
If anyone is wondering, I was wearing a pair of girl jeans and an athletic long sleeve black top. Personally I thought that the look was just perfect for a casual night out running errands, which is what I wanted to do. After shopping, I bought some gas for my car and returned home thinking about going out again next week to the same mall.
Now I suspect that for more experienced girls this small event might seem silly, but it did wonders for me. If only I had more of a girl voice, I would have spoken with her.
