Why me..........Why not!

     When a person has an accident or comes down with a serious illness, their first reaction is always, Why me.  Why was I dealt this lousy hand?  I have had time to think on that and my answer is why not.  While we are all special in our own ways, we are not unique or different then anyone else, it is a part of the life cycle, we are brought into this world and surely as the sun comes up in the morning, we will leave it.  We have to live everyday like it was our last, never say I'll do that next week or maybe next year, life is that uncertain.  A few years ago a dear friend of mine died of breast cancer, a bit unusal for a male, having tried to acheive a feminine look only to die from a disease that kills women, the ultimate irony.  Now I found myself with a more traditional male version.  They say they have caught it early enough but the treatments are hell, you have good days and bad days, like my grandmother said "What doesn't kill you only make you stronger.", I think I will become a very strong person.  I am writing this journal, to help me overcome my fears and maybe help someone else along the way.          In the bitter radish that bites into me, I feel the autumn wind.............BasshoTake care and be well,  CC
