Laughter is the Best Medicine

To all my Dear Friends, Things have finally begun to turn around, treatments are working and it looks like I am on the upswing. But medical science is usualy not enoungh, I had remember reading years ago about a cancer patient, who was terminal and rented every comedy video he could, so he would not be depressed at the end. Not only did it lift his spirits, but it seemed to have an effect on his disease and completely reversed it. With nothing to loose, I decided to try the same course. What I have gotten is a positive out look and great peace of mind. Also my jaw aches and my side hurts from laughing too much. But, I found one cannot laugh too much, there are so many depressing things in this world today, we have to put them aside and stress the positive. It seems to be working for me. I am a far better person now then I was before and I hope to continue to grow into an even better one. I do love you all and hope to be back chatting with you all again soon. Bigg Huggs, CC

Re: Laughter is the Best Medicine Lauren Misty Falls May 2nd, 2006 6:35 pm MDT hi chrissy, glad to hear ur getting better, we need all the good, compassionate. and loving people we can get on this planet. i think the book was the "anatomy of an illness". i forgot the authors name, but he was a dr. or a scientist and used ama medicine in combination with the laugh therapy. he gave a lot of credit to the laugh therapy for his winning the battle. i will be sending u lots of love and good thoughts. take care, luv lauren- Re: Laughter is the Best Medicine Karen Reeves May 4th, 2006 6:51 pm MDT Chrissy, a few years ago I was diagnosed with a dread disease and given a grim outlook. I went 24/7 figuring my time left was limited. I'm still here ! Becoming Karen, I am convinced, saved my life. There is no medical proof but the turn around was amazing. Keep your chin up and keep on laughing ! We are rooting for you sweetie ! *Kisses*
