But what will I wear?!

While I don't think I'm quite the bewhiskered green Grinch from the movie of the same name, I'm faced with a similar dilemma to the one that caused the character played by Jim Carey to utter the above subject line. Ya see, there's an invite to a bachellorette party in Sacramento. I wanna go, but my wardrobe consists of, let's see, short skirt, risque lingerie, and more short skirts. I don't have a conservative darned thing in the wardrobe. Well, okay, maybe one or two things. Do I go with the short skirt/risque outfit and risk looking, well, silly? I mean, my BUTT is showing already. I don't want to be tacky!!!!! I suppose I shall ask the hostess with the mostess.

Alisha Marie February 22nd, 2006 1:21 pm MST Well your definately not the image that pops into mind "A little ole lady from Pasadena" Laurie, so I say; flaunt what cha got and wear the outfit you have on in the main profile photo with the platform shoes. A bachellorette party in Sacramento sounds like it could get wild and crazy and you know you don't want to be the one dressed like a PTA mom. Your way to pretty to be shy. Our first night out with the SAGNO group here in San Antonio, I was dressed like that and everyone else was wild and crazy! Felt like such a prude. Shocking and zippy beats the hell out of librarian every day. Funny thing, I went to one of those Tri-Ess meeting things once, and they're all in flower dresses, and low or no heels, and there I was in a leather mini and a sleeveless top with 4.5" heels. Heh. Heh. Why is everyone looking at me like that? That sort of pitying/envious look of "I'm probably a little too old to look respectable in that outfit and my wife wouldn't like it very much anyway, but I'm going to try to look disapproving anyway." Not that I'm a spring chicken or anything.
