"A Southern Lady's Perchance To dream" I want to let all know that the web site I have listed is not mine. It's a "Lady" from "The South", a warm and wonderful human being. She's a woman after mine own heart and soul. I found this site several years ago, long before I came out. I emailed this lady and explained how great of an affect her site had on me and how much her site represented who I was. Being, I was a Gentleman of The South at that time, rather than a Lady, when she emailed me back, she found I was very interesting and was curious of me and thought I was quite an unusual person in a good way. Now I know why I was attracted to her site. IT'S ME!!! Her site comes closes to who I am and someday I hope to have a site just like hers.
A Southern Lady's Perchance To Dream

Metteneye is my French ancestoral surname dating back to 966 AD. Who am I? Well, I’m a little bit English, a little bit Scottish, a little bit Irish, some German, a touch of Dutch, a bunch & mostly Swedish, deeply rooted with French, (a real American), for the most part an idealist & perfectionist, a bit conservative, a Romantic and Victorian at heart, Christian by faith, & a whole lot of G.R.I.T.S. (Girl Raised In The South) through & through. Yes, I'm what is said to be a real, down home, “Deep South”, true at heart Southern Belle (a lady) with the spirit & play of a little French Tart (a bit of a tease & flirt). Born & raised in Atlanta, Georgia but now living in the Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas area. Not only was I born totally of the wrong body sex (my gender is female & sex is female now, but sex was male), but also of the wrong time period/century. My parents & wife believed/believe I was born 150 years after my time & most who know me have to agree. Really screwed! I’m definitely going to have a talk with God someday, one way or the other! Then again, He may be talking to me! I’m sure God has a humorous side, just look at what happen to me! LOL! I'm 5' 7" tall, 124 lbs. in weight, Swedish blue eyes, auburn hair, fair complexion, and I wear between a size 4 and 5 pants/skirts, size 8/9 dress, and size 6 1/2-7 shoes/heels. My under bra size is 33" with 36" across the nipples. I wear a 34B bra size. My measurements are 36/28/35. I love to dress anywhere from a full Southern Belle formal gown with petticoat and/or hoop skirt to my little string bikini or as little as I can get away with, that of a little French Tart. I love dressing to the nines, always, whether it’s casual, work, play, Sunday best, and after five or evening gowns. I’m very fit and have great stamina. This carries over from my high altitude hiking of the Colorado fourteeners into my dancing and skating to everyday life. My all time favorite movies are: Gone With The Wind, Lost Horizon, GiGi, My Fair Lady, Three Coins in The Fountain, West Side Story, Doctor Zhivago, Paint Your Wagon, Once Upon A Time in The West, Somewhere in Time, Xanadu, Flash Dance, Dirty Dancing, Titanic, and Phantom of The Opera. The movie that most reflects who I am at heart is "GiGi". The movie/movies (as it’s a tie between two) that has had the biggest and most lasting affect on my life, that tears at my soul, generates such passion that makes my blood boil, and screams who I am would be none other than Gone with The Wind and Doctor Zhivago. You may see here that I mostly prefer romantic movies, not always with happy endings as in real life, but, then on occasion, once in a blue moon, happy ever after comes flickering through like a candle in the night. Like I say over and over, romance/love is first in my life. My all time favorite famous women are: Doris Day, Susan Hayward, Suzanne Pleshette, Audrey Hepburn, Julie Christie, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, Shirley Temple, Maureen O’Hara, Jane Seymour, Hayley Mills, Patti Page, Theresa Brewer, Connie Francis, Cher, Olivia Newton-John, K. T. Oslin, Donna Summers, Dorothy Hamill, Jenny Lind (The Nightingale from Sweden) of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, with my most favorite of all people (man or woman) being "SARAH BRIGHTMAN" (The Angel of Music). My all time favorite famous men are: Perry Como, Clark Gable, Omar Sharif, Andy Williams, Dean Martin and Red Skelton. If I was to have to choose just one of these women for a life long partner it would be Doris Day. If I was to choose just one of these women for an intimate and romantic weekend, it would be Claudia Cardinale. If I was to have to choose just one of these men for a life long partner it would be Perry Como. If I was to choose just one of these men for an intimate and romantic weekend, it would be Omar Sharif. You notice I did not choose Sarah Brightman, as she is an Angel, one that I can only dream of, not being with, but of actually being. If I could be born again as another person it would be without question, Sarah Brightman. My favorite kinds of music would be just about anything you could dance to. I do not care for Honkytonk music (crying in your beer music), Rap, Acid Rock, or Punk Rock. I do like some of most anything else including Gospel (including church hymns), Swing, Big Band, Rock & Roll, Hard Rock, Disco, Country Western, Hillbilly (mountain music), Cowboy (sitting around the camp fire), Folk, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Soul (Detroit Sound), Opera, Instrumental or Elevator Music, Orchestra, Band (marching), etc. I also love different kinds of music from around the world. As you can see, I like just about anything. I love especially music to dance to as I said earlier. I love Ball Room dancing (especially the Latin dances), Swing, Big Band, Rock and Roll, Soul, Disco, Techno, and basic modern rock to dance to. When I feel the music, I just can’t stay off the floor even if it means getting out there alone, eventually someone always joins me whether I know them or not, male or female. I can even dance sitting. While sitting at the computer at work or in my car, I have the habit, while listening to the radio or a CD, of rocking away in my chair or seat. My hobbies are researching genealogy, a “Fanatic Fan” of Sarah Brightman, dancing (of course), skating (roller & ice), browsing antique stores, dressing up, dining-out (candlelight dinners), shopping, canoeing and kayaking, and hiking the Colorado Fourteeners. My passion I would have to say is family and people as a whole. I love to be with and spend time with family, relatives, and people both present and past. I love digging into the past for that is where my heart lies. This is why I love genealogy and browsing antique stores. I love to shop, dress up, and to be wined and dined by candlelight and/or the soft glow of a fire from a fireplace. I love to dress in a sexy outfit and dance the night away in heels. Romance is first in my life. Sex comes after everything else and is important if I really like the person and want to bond with them. This does not mean necessarily marriage, rather, for the two of us to experience each other to the fullness of what makes us human with nothing hidden, with nothing restrained, no inhibitions, and to carry a part of one another with us for the rest of our life. One may also find just above in my hobbies I love the outdoors when it has to do with bonding with nature and experiencing mother earth herself. I love all wildlife that God created and believe that they have as much right to life as we ourselves. Yes, God says they have souls as well! They know God as well, maybe better, than we do and I believe they have greater respect for life for all than we do as humans. We should learn from those God has placed under us, like children, rather than abuse them. We were once children! My most favorite places. I prefer cold to hot climates as well as mountainous over flat. I would love to travel to New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia, Nepal, Tibet, Austria, Russia/Siberia, all the former Soviet Union countries, Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia, all the Western Europe countries, Italy/Sicili, China (mainlain), & Antarica. My most favorite place in the United States is Twin Lakes, Colorado "Little Switzerland". My most favorite two Romantic places in the world are: The Victorian "Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise" at Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada and The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in Michigan. I’m no cross-dresser, rather, I’m a full blown transsexual woman. Although pansexual, I consider myself heterasexual (gender & sex is female) in this stage of my life, as I desire a man for intimacy & romance, but women for social. I came out of the closet (more like I exploded out of Pandora’s Box) Dec. 2003. I’ve been out in the public eyes ever since & not at all shy about it. This was something I always felt/new since about the age of 4/5 yrs old & now I’m able to be my real/whole self who God intended me to be. I've been on HRT since Sept 22, 2004 & plan to fully transition with SRS/GRS on Jan 9, 2007 in Trinidad, Colorado. I've been living full time now since Aug. 9, 2005. After having 22 plus years with the same employer I did a 180. I have continued to work at the same employer and now have 25 plus years of service as of Nov. 1, 2006. I have been dressing full time now both at work and home since Aug. 9, 2005, my birthday. I’ve been married to my loving wife for 36 plus years as of June 26, 2006, our anniversary. My wife supports me 100% and has been a large and major contributor and help to my success in transitioning. Our plans are to remain married, if possible, pledge together in a spouse/sister/girlfriend relationship. I have one daughter, who was 24 on Nov. 4, 2006, still living at home. Our daughter graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington on Dec. 10, 2005. She majored in journalism and is a published writer. Who am I, really? In reality, I’m me! A mixture of all you have read above, a blend of all who have come, lived, and gone before this girl. At times very American, at times very human, at times a Southern Mystery, but just a girl at heart and in spirit, and someday, with God’s Will, to be so in the flesh before I pass on and turn this spot in the world over to another to learn, wonder, and grow! To discover the “Big Picture” that God has laid before each of us. You see, I believe, that each of us are neither female nor male, rather we are both. We are God’s children, and while I believe God is both female and male, God is also neither! God is spirit and he is made up of all of our spirits, which also means we are made up of, from, and part of God. We all reach and extend out from God to do his work just as Jesus came here to do for us. We are all one with God, dependent upon each other for life and not independent as society or the world would have us to believe. The most magical word/emotion is “LOVE”. This love that comes from God is deep within us all. I pray that my life will be of service to help, inspire, and make the way for another to have it easier in the world, just as those before myself, did for me. "Grosses Bises" (French for Hugs & Kisses) Lady Fufie Metteneye "You will find, as you look back upon your life That the moments that stand out The moments when you have really lived Are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of Love" ~ Henry drummon What am I looking for? Friends would be number one. Others that share common interest would be another. Others like myself that are understanding of what it is like to be both male and female and need to get out and live, enjoy, and love life as God intended. Last of all someone to love me completely without any reservations and make me whole.
