RE: Liberals Unite!

Rarely ever anymore, do I get political. I was directly involved in politics years ago, and have no intention to return. I do however, feel the need to respond to Caseys' post, even if it does not belong on this site. It's important we refrain from discussing politics and religion here as it is a no win situation ultimately for all involved. This is why we have debate clubs. Having said that, Casey, you need to step back a bit and read what you write. Contrary to your statements, you are prejudice, like it or not. And that doesn't bode well here. You might have noticed we have spent our entire lives trying to undo the prejudices we endure daily. No one here wants to read slurs that you feel need to be made. The issue of illegals does not need to made into one of racism. If the White House/State legislators spent half the amount they spend annually on fighting illegals, on subsidizing farm labor wages for US citizens, there would be no need for outsourced employees. Americans would gladly do the work and it would save the govenments millions, and the wages would remain in the US( think Walmart). Certainly, some people from afar would still look to the US for a 'better life' for their loved ones, but not because they can work at jobs US citizens won't do. And these people could be easily controlled. But alas, politics won't allow for this, so take your gripe to the State and federal legislators along with your prejudices. You can bet there are plenty of politicians who agree with your views( although not publically) and as long as politicians can milk this issue, a re-election is guaranteed. As a note, I would be interested in knowing just how many of those green and white 'border patrol' GMC Yukons are out there. I am sure I've seen at least 4,000 in the past 3 years just in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona alone. Casey, if you really want to solve the issue, do your homework, forget about racism, go to Washington with facts, and convince them you have the solution and can prove it. Just remember, this is not the place for politics. Good luck on your mission.

Re: RE: Liberals Unite! Casey Hill September 1st, 2007 7:48 am MDT I'm glad I took this opportunity to check out the journal posts, because I normally don't, and this would have completely slipped through the cracks into obscurity. I have to ask you, Jill, if my postings don't belong here, then where do they belong? Where else could I find a similar grouping of liberal individuals so I could present an opposing viewpoint? I mean, isn't it the liberal front who proclaims to be "open-minded"? Do you not consider the "conservative right" to be "closed up" over social issues? This, to me, is a very contradictory statement on your part, Jill. Besides, as I've stated before, why preach to the choir? You say I'm a racist, keeping in line with the common lies libs tell themselves, as many on the left proclaim deity-like dominion over those of us in the trenches. I can't afford to be a racist, Jill. My reply to Dan will explain this more clearly. Please re-read this if it will help you understand what's REALLY going on in the nation south of you. And you tell me to take my arguement to the legislators of my nation. Believe me, Jill: Many know my opinions. I don't need to "write them a letter" to make that point clear. You may not realize this, but laws are written here, then most times they are not enforced. You can call that fact a result of the laziness of the American Government, or the prevailing attitude of the House thinking they know what's best for the multitudes better than the multitudes themselves, or maybe the frivolous lawsuits threatened by the ACLU. Whatever you wish to blame this phenominon on, you can rest assured that folks down here (the ones hated by the elite media, anyways) are doing what we can to preserve the ultimate dream of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I really doubt we'll be asking Canada for assistance anytime soon.

Re: RE: Liberals Unite! Jill Leanne Lacey September 2nd, 2007 9:10 am MDT Hi Casey, it seems you have no interest of debating any issue with anyone here, but rather, try to impose your views on others as the 'only' and correct view complete with prejudicial racial bashing. How sad. This will be my last post on this issue. As a friend, have you considered attending alcohol abuse councelling ? Jill Lacey
