9/11/07 Ramadan

Today is the day that all over the United States we are observing a moment of silence and remembering where we were when it happened.  I was reminded today that it is Ramadan , a time of Fasting and Meditation.  I have to wonder if those people who decided that we should fear them more than God planned this horror in a time of peace on the other side of the world.  While I believe in Yin and Yang and that dark and light can create balance, I am not sure all the prayers in Islam and America can ever balance this atrocity.  I am, however,  greatful that we on this side of the world are praying for peace as well as those on the other side.  Another way the world becomes smaller.  I am not sure that will ever be a counrty that takes to fasting, we seem to prefer feasting.  So while we offer our prayers to continued peace, remember also, to enjoy life, celebrate life, live life.  Namaste, Syrisa
