Good afternoon All, as some of you know I have been a socially active crossdresser for quite sometime. I have the support of my wife, most family members and an ever growing number of friends. About a month ago my wife and I were in our favorite watering hole where I am accepted in both modes and we were invited to a party being thrown by one particular women that has taken quite an interest in my crossdressing. I asked if she would mind if I came dressed and she said not at all. I also asked her what her friends might think of me coming dressed. She said that they're all pretty cool and shouldn't have a problem with it. Well, the party is tomorrow night and I'm getting kind of nervous about the whole thing. I've been going out in public for over twenty years and usually don't hesitate about going anywhere anymore. However this is a little different, I'm likely to draw much more attention at a small house party than I would on your average trip into a mall or bar/restaurant.
On one hand I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to socialize in public with a group of people and be able to do a little educating, but on the other hand I'm terrified to be in a room full of people I've never meet. Of course this happens all the time when out in public places, but this time I'll likely have to do a lot more one on one socializing than I'm used to. My wife keeps telling me to relax and be yourself and you'll do just fine. I think I may just have to have a few extra cocktails to get past this one.
