Merry Christmas to all my favorite girlfriends!!! =)

December 24th, 2006 4:01 pm MST

I want to thank those special girlfriends whom have become friends within me and whom supported and reached out to me this year since joining the community. I want to wish you all a Very Happy Holiday Season and a great, very happy year ahead!

This year, for me, I will be alone over the Holidays, but I am hoping for a brighter year, surrounded by friends and will try to not be so shy in '07.  I am hoping to grow like a butterfly this year and live within my smiles and happiness. I love being with you all and hope we may, one day, see each other around the block! =)

I was resently given a very sad but happy note from a girlfriend that I want to share with you. Its about living in the DASH...I hope '07 helps all of us to be true to ourselves and LIVE MORE WITHIN THE DASH!!! In my heart, I LOVE YOU ALL THAT HAVE LOVED AND BELIVED WITHIN ME. Thank you all very much again for believing in me...for being my friend...

"I read of a girl who stood at the funeral of her best friend.

She referred to the dates on her tombstone from the beginning...to the other

She noted that first came the date of her real, true birth @ 26, and the following date with tears, but she said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

For the dash represented all the time that she spent alive and true to herself upon this earth, and now only those who loved her so, know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, in whom we live to please, how much we own; the cars, the houses, the cash.

What matters is how we live true within ourselves, how we love and how we spend our dash...

So think about this long and hard this year; are there things you'd like to change?

For you never know how much time is left.

You might be at the end of your dash, or at ' the dash mid-range'.

If we could just slow down enough to consider what's true and real;

and always try to understand the way that others feel;

and less quick to be angry and show appreciation, patience and understanding more,

and love the people in our lives like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect, and more often wear a smile,

remembering that this special day might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read with your life's story to rehash...

would you be pleased with the things they say---

about how you where true to yourself;

ABOUT HOW YOU LIVED AND SPENT YOUR DASH...
