The busiest summer ever!
Nicole Morgin July 27th, 2008 7:49 pm MDTOk, sooo! I have been the busiest little bee ever. I had forgotten how much goes into my little ole lifestyle. Not to mention some modeling shoots, and building content for my upcoming site! But Im so happy and having fun, things are calming a bit and Im going to have some time to get back out and enjoy the rest of summer. I opened a flickr account for some photos and you guys and gals that have written me there, thank you! Let see: So far I've done some work now with Elle at Spell Cosmetics--She continues to be awesome and Im going to be working to get the word out in our community, but she's already like the major ROCKSTAR of gg's in Cleveland. I told her Id drop a little note on some stuff on her site and I can vouch for a couple awesome products. The Beard cover kit (Rocks) and is not expensive--the nail colors are beyond killer and she has tons of shadows and lip colors. I even gave permission for her to use a few of my images! ok, for now back to my little grind!!! Luv Ya[4 comments]

simularites
Leeza Secret Life May 31st, 2008 6:08 pm MDTI think I am here for the same reasons many of you are. Its about feeling good about yourself in a physical and beautiful way. I was a tomboy growing up, had a simple lifestyle, felt plain and homely. I found beautiful women amazing. Especially those who spent the $ to put themselves together so well with makeup and beautiful clothes. I admired them, when I discovered men could do the same thing, that amazed me even more. Only recently have I blossomed, and started to take care of myself in that way and finally start to feel pretty.[2 comments]

TG Friendly
Nicole Morgin April 5th, 2008 8:15 am MDTTG Friendly!!! The term has bothered me for years!! I've often wondered what TG Friendly really means. First, we all use it, and that includes me. But it serves as a reminder and a big caution to all of us, that its implication exists. There remains a non Tg friendly world out there. For the most part, we have the whole internet to shop our little hearts out, but we do not however enjoy that luxury when it comes to the big bad world of retail sales. How we are treated on the world wide web is radically different then how we are treated in the local mall. Now bear in mind that there are some big box stores that are accepting of us, BUT, this may only be because of a tendancy to blend with hundreds of shoppers. I wish you the best however if you have to walk up to the counter of a mall store or boutique and receive positive open service. Don't get me wrong, Im not going to write reviews and point out the bad places, what I will do however is point out the good. I am a critic, because I shop. I am fortunate enough to properly budget to spend a bit of money on this habit. When I do shop, I pay particular attention to my treatment, and when it is done in a caring, professional, comfortable and businesslike way, I'm on it and loyal. I have layed out in some of my blogs, comments in different places on the net my pleasurable experiences. Those stores/sites/owners, I will stand up for and promote. As I have been working to build my new website, I have come across different web pages while doing research and or intermittantly shopping. One thing is starting to bother me because I've noticed it recently and I'm going to give my two cents in a heads up. Im a shoe shopper (more than I should be), but there are a ton of shoe sites out there ready to sell to the world. Recently I have discovered that there are almost an equal number of shoe stores catering specifically to the transgender world. Here comes the problem: I have seen the same shoe on a standard woman's shoe site for $19.00 and the exatc same shoe (same picture, same name) on a transgender shoe store for $39.00. I've often thought "this shoe must be TG Friendly, because it costs so much more!) NO.... NO....NO.... Bad Shoe Store. I can't buy it from you. I guess I must have clicked the button that said transgendered, because my price seems to be a lot higher than a genetic female is paying for the same one. I think we are getting the drift. Now, I'm all about businesses and companies making profit, but profit off of me because you have set demand, profit off of me because you have free gifts with my shoe order, profit off of me because you can get them wholesale cheaper than others or because you sell obscure sizes, but DO NOT profit off of me just because I am who I am. Know your business, know your clients. If you want to sell to us, we are very glad to buy, but treat us equally and care about how we feel when shopping with you. Make us comfortable and be welcoming and yes, we will even pay the higher price for that treatment. I know I do. So when you have a good shopping experience, drop me a line and I'll check it out. I believe those stores/sites get our attention first.[2 comments]

How sexy is too sexy?
Nicole Morgin March 28th, 2008 10:37 am MDTI wrote something similar in my blog, so I'll add a bit of it here today. I often find myself in a quagmire. I love the classy A look and the feminity that goes along with pencil skirts and Chanel bags, but sometimes there can be something said for running a bit of the "sexy" in photos. We open ourselves up to a variety of individuals who will provide commentary, but maybe once in a while we need to show a little leg,,,just a thought today.
Most of those who send me comments, seem to enjoy and admire the photos Ive done where I am dressed up and classy, not sleezy--Does this all mean we are getting more away from our little butt shots and toward a more feminine appeal? lol Who knows, but this week--in my shoot Im going to add in a few surprises. Not slutty ones--but I want to see how elegance works but with a flare for black netting pinned into hair--Kinda retro this time.
Till later Girls!

Nicole Morgin March 23rd, 2008 5:14 pm MDTAre we limited by a man's world?
I was told this today, I wanted to share becuase it had me thinking all day... I had someone tell me that we (meaning the Transgender community), and make no mistake, whether you are a full op to part time Cd, you are the transgender community, are all limited by a mans world.
I think the meaning was this: Men dictate how genetic women as well as the Tgirl community present themselves. Genetic girls have just as hard a time as all of us, the only difference being that we push the proverbial envelope. Im sure that for all of us that put on the gown or tiara or even the stripper shoes, we are for the most part hyperfeminizing. But lets STOP making apologies for it and that includes the genetic girls. Just because men don't have the inclination to give most of us the opportunity to go to a gala ball--doesn't mean a night in the ball gown hurts----does it?
We in the Tgirl community, typically go "against the grain" I know for me that it feels wonderful sometimes to throw on the sexiest dress I have--that makes ME...feel good and have a couple photos taken. Somewhere out in the land of the internet someone will appreciate it, and maybe if Im lucky, Ill have a flatterring comment thrown at me. I believe that the world is truly to sloppy of a place. Im just here to do my part to spice it up a little.
I can honestly say this. The community of Tgirls out there, are by far the most welcoming, non judgemental I have ever known. They are the ones that have made me feel accepted and a part of something. I do not have to feel alone there, and I am comforted truly that there are others out there that wake up each day with similar struggles that I do.
So, my answer to this is "you are right, it is a mans world and we live in it" but Im going to do my little part to feel like myself; comfortable and feminine.
This was told to me by someone who actually "gets it". A genetic female who envies all of us. Why? Because we all have he opportunity to push the envelope, and when it comes from someone who was fortunate enough to be born in a shell they agree with--even better. She opened my eyes a bit and I wanted to pass this along. She's right, no more living in the sloppy men's world--just go for it!
