lausanne Gay Pride

We went to Lausanne this weekend and had a great time at Gay Pride.  They do a wonderful job of making it a fun weekend.  Friday night was a little slow but we met some great people.  To all the wonderful women and men we met. Marie Mimi, Nathalie,Claire, Paschal Dominique, thank you it was wondeful to meet you and I hope we see you again soon.  We got a slow start on Saturday and barely made it to the parade.  It was smaller than Salt Lake's and NYC's but they were having just as much fun.  I love the bubble machine but hated that stuff on my feet.  The walk with the parade also gave us a great chance to see the city.We stayed out way too late on saturday night.  It's monday and Im just now recovering from that.  We slept until one today.  Sunday was really slow and we just went down to the village to eat before driving back.I was a little disappointed in the number of TG's I saw.  I only saw one on friday and saturday during the Day.  There were a few Drag Queens but that's not what Im talking about.  ON Sat night I saw 4 or 5 but it seemd like they were being careful not to come out until then.  It may be that Lausanne is a small city.  It was very cool that there were no counter-protestors.  IN NYC and Salt Lake there are a lot bigots that turn out for the parade and they are really annoying.  It was wonderful to see all the families and people turn out to watch the parade.  For my vote the Swiss get a hand up on the Americans for being open minded and fun.Not sure what the next party.  Probably Amsterdam for their Party in August.  I love Amsterdam.  No one even noticed my nails in Amsterdam.  That was the one thing that everyone noticed In Lausanne.  Of course Long nails are not really done here. Athena finally took hers off after looking for aplace that does acrylic nails for over 3 weeks.  We love to shock (nicely that is) and the nails definitely did it here.  Lesbians have the hardest time understanding why you like them.  Well they do until you give them a little back scratch!
