SRS OHIP Coverage in Ontario

December 12th, 2006 9:14 am MST

Don't quote me, but my teacher who used to be a former police officer, and who knows about my gender identity issues, has informed me that the Ontario Human Rights Commission has held a tribunal against the Ontario Government. The outcome for that tribunal appears to be that Ontario must now fund all Operations for sex change, cover the expenses of leaving the country to attain an operation, as it was prior to the cuts in 1998, as the cuts were found to be discriminatory. I checked this out for myself at http://www.hrto.ca/english/decisions/2006/2006HRTO32.doc and confirmed the above mentioned.

Sorry about any inconviences of the wrong email address. When checking this out read the very bottom as it states the remedies that have been decided.

Hi katrina, could you verify that web address as I have tried to access it and only get a search engine for junk sites. I would be interested in reading the courts decision on this health issue.

    Thanks, Jill Lacey
