reflections on scc expierence

October 16th, 2008 8:16 am MDT

It was fabulous in so many ways! Not only being more fully in touch with my feminine core, but also hearing from inspirational leaders of our larger community. I felt part of something truly larger and quite wonderful! We are the cutting edge of the power of self-expression in our culture. We need to strive or even fight for more undertanding, acceptance, and dignity. If our culture can fully accept us so many other prejudices may crumble. We are part of our world and can help it grow and progress. But I do not want to be too serious! Feeling & expressing my feminity just makes me feel wonderful and complete.

open letter on Obama / Hillary

March 10th, 2008 5:38 am MDT

It was truly a pity to see Samantha Power cut loose from the campaing for referred to Hillary as a "monster". By all accounts she is a serious and award -winning Harvard academician. That such an estimable person was driven to utter such a dramatic opinion speaks volumes.
Despite her retraction under pressure, her only offense was speaking her true feelings in a non-diplomatic way. An opinion shared by this writer, and who knows how many other Democrats?
What makes Hillary particularly egregious is that she smiles as she sticks the knife in and then twists it. Obama may be forced to "go negative". By contrast, Hillary seems truly to enjoy it.
Only with Obama on the ticket can we avoid the depressing choice between a monstrous personality and a candidate who advocates monstrous policies.
We need a new choice and a new sense of opitmism in this country. We need Obama.

cheryl is emerging

February 22nd, 2008 7:05 am MST

It has been two plus weeks since I went out as Cheryl as the first time and I am still ecstatic over the feeling and my deepening desire to be Cheryl more and more often. I am freeing and enjoying so many deep feelings of my femininity and just loving it.
