"Follow Your Heart"

There's a sudden emptiness - the emptiness is always the same - but it's precisely within that emptiness that the different kinds of grief take shape. Everything we didn't say materializes and expands, expands and keeps on expanding. It's an emptiness without doors or windows, there's no way out; whatever's suspended in that void stays there forever, above your head, with you, around you, it envelops and confounds you like thick fog. Only pain makes us grow, but pain has to be met head on, whoever dodges or feels sorry for himself is bound to lose. Human heart was like the earth, half lit by the sun and half in shadow. Not even the saints were all light. Because of the simple fact that we have bodies, part of us remains in shadow, we're like frogs, we're amphibious, part of us lives down here and the other part is always yearning upward. Living is only being conscious of this, knowing it, and struggling to prevent the dark shadow from eclipsing the light. Don't trust people who are perfect, those who have all the answers ready to hand. Don't trust anything except what your heart tells you..
