Happy New Year!
Cammy January 3rd, 2009 2:03 pm MSTAloha,
So I've been a bad gurl! Haven't been corresponding much the past year. It's been soo busy and I've had very little time to be me. Such a drag being in drab and not able to be en femme.
This has also left me very....... "h*^#y"!
I hope next year will allow for more opportunities!
XOXO
Cammy

New Year Message
Sonia Kiss December 31st, 2008 7:10 am MSTHello friends, each of you is more dear to me than you know. I wish I could send direct emails like I have the last two years, but I've been so slow on the computer lately that I know I would never finish that project this year.
2008 has been a dark year for me. I've made little progress at resolving my legal problems, and consequently I've spent time in jail, time under house arrest, and I've lost my right to have a bank account, a job, health care, a driver's license, or a passport. I'm wanted in two states. I haven't checked, but in one of those states, I suspect my photo is on a "ten most wanted" poster. I've been essentially homeless for all of 2008. No, I haven't been living on the street or in shelters, but have been totally dependent on friends and family for whatever roof I've had over my head.
I learned early this year that I have cancer. I was near to dropping dead in my tracks by the time it was finally diagnosed, the diagnoses being delayed by six months or so by my legal problems. Obviously, I survived that close call. I got radiation treatments that treated the cancer very well and gave me a new lease on life. Only a lease though; I should have started chemotherapy by now, but that is delayed for the moment as I'm focusing on resolving my legal problems.
Most of you know me as a transsexual. (Apologies to those of you not exactly in the transgender community. This paragraph may sound a little strange to you.) 2008 was my first full calendar year to live as a woman, and I'm happy to report that being a woman has continued to be wonderful for me. Due to both legal and health problems, I haven't been able to make much progress in "physical" transition, but if you've got to pause somewhere, "full time" is a great place to pause. My "mood" status on one of my social networking sites currently says "Peaceful" and that really sums up how I feel about my current place in my transition. Yes, there is much, much more I would like to do. It can wait. I'm not suffering terribly from "birth defects."
One happy diversion I found this year was photography. After being away from Sisters of Boston for months, I was badly missing weekly photos of myself from Ashley's omnipresent camera. I fussed and delayed for months more before finally buying a pocket digital camera, in July of this year. I took a few of the vanity photos of myself I had been missing, then realized what an amazing instrument I had for creating art. A pocket digital camera, vintage 2008, is incredible for its capabilities. I began taking *lots* of photos, learning creative photography by just doing it, and also learning from studying the ocean of spectacular examples on Flickr, and before long, from meeting a few of Boston's most enthusiastic amateur photographers, watching them work, and listening to them talk about what they do.
I'll end with an invitation to everyone to write to me, just to say hello. But I have to also end with an apology to so, so many of you for not writing to you this year. I've failed to return emails to a vast number of my friends this year. My only explanation is that I've been just overwhelmed by my problems, my situation, and haven't had the mental energy to...to just return friendship, awful as that sounds. I do love you, each and every one of you.
Best wishes, love, and peace to all in 2009,
Sonia

URNA DETECTIVES NEWS FLASH! DAN, JON & THE CASE OF THE MISSING JOURNAL ENTRIES!
Karen Reeves December 27th, 2008 8:54 pm MSTHi Everyone!
It appears that the case of the missing journal entry postings has been SOLVED!
I can see from my own list of the number of journal entries posted on my site that last June 4th was a busy day. I know I have posted quite a few journal entries over the years but not 53 of them!!! I can talk and write alot but . . . . .
Trying to repair the site the guys posted over 30 test entries on my site in just a few hours! When the site recently got repaired these disappearing journal entries suddenly reappeared. I just noticied this and have spent time deleting the test items.
I would suggest that everyone go delete repetative journal/test items to cut down on the clutter.
Thanks Dan & Jon for the great work in making Urnotalone such an awesome place!!! You have proved yourselves again!
*Smiles*

Merry Christmas 2008 To You All!
Karen Reeves December 20th, 2008 11:51 pm MSTHi Everyone!
It is that time of year and yesterday's/today's snowstorm just seems to add to the festive mood of Christmas. I know that getting ready for the holidays can be stressful and painful.
I enjoy all the bright lights, good cheer, parties, the presents, and Xmas dinner. But let us remember the true meaning of Xmas. It is the day that we celeberate the life of one person and the meaning of what it is to strive and have a better planet to live on.
Enjoy your holidays no matter your belief system!!!!!

A day to dress.....?
Sakura The Cutie December 11th, 2008 12:35 pm MSTHey gurls. So have something that I want to tell you all about. So two days ago (Tuesday) I didnt have school so I was home alone all morning long. This was the perfect chance for me to dress, so that morning I went into my moms room to find what I wanted to wear but I stopped and frozed before reaching my moms room. I started not feeling like dressing. Then I just went back in my room and started thinking how like its now so boring to dress alone. I've only dressed by myself since I only can do it when no one is home. Its so boring now to dress alone since I can't really share it with someone else in the room with me. I've always wanted to dress with another tgurl or a gg, but that hasn't happened yet and probably won't happen for a long time. So to all of you gurls reading this, should I be feeling and thinking this way? I don't know if its a bad thing to do?

Google My Name ??
Frank Disalle December 8th, 2008 6:02 pm MSTThere is a vicious game being played here lately... People have come into the Chat Room and claimed they have "Googled" my name, and found horrible things about me ...
So, to put an end to this vicious, petty, mean-spirited practice, I will give you ALL an opportunity to do the same:
Here is my name googled in quotes:
Frank DiSalle
Here it is without quotes :
Frank DiSalle
You can see for yourself. I have commented on thousands of subjects all over the Internet. If you spot any lies or contradictions, let me know.
If you see things that indicate I am not likeable, or things that indicate you wouldn't like me, so be it ...
But, please, don't take someone else's word that I am a bad guy. There are people here that are bad enough to lie about me -- one day they will lie about you. If they haven't already
Thanks,
Frankie

The Mousetrap
Frank Disalle December 1st, 2008 10:28 am MSTThe Mousetrap
A mouse looked through the
crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
"What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was
devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard,
the mouse proclaimed the
warning.
"There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the
house!"
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr.
Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you but it is of no
consequence to me.
I cannot be bothered by it."
The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a
mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but
there is nothing I can do about it but pray.
Be assured you are in my prayers."
The mouse turned to the cow and said, "There is a mousetrap in the
house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you,
but it's no skin off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face
the farmer's mousetrap -- alone.
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house --
like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the
darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake
whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife.
The farmer rushed her
to the hospital and she returned home with a fever.
Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the
farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main
ingredient.
But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to
sit with her around the clock.
To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.
So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow
slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great
sadness.
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it
doesn't concern you, remember --
when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out
for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

Karen Reeves November 16th, 2008 10:00 pm MSTHi Everyone!
I hope that all of you have a great Thanksgiving. We all have, though it may not seem that way many times, so much to be thankful for. The next time you get down emotionally remember that things could be a whole lot worse. Many people are in that predicament.
Don't each too much turkey!

Are They......?
Linda Lewis October 14th, 2008 9:14 am MDTThis journal entry is for all of you who have been asking about, wondering if, or curious to know, if my breasts, seen in my latest pics, are real. They're not. What I have is an expensive prosthetic that I purchased from a manufacturer called Pro-Active Prosthetics located in the UK. What I have is called a Cleavage Croptop. Here's the URL for their website: www.proactiveprosthetics.com The best way to find out about the Cleavage Croptop is to visit their site and click on the "Cleavage Range" button in the navigation panel on the left side of their Home Page. Everything is explaine there about the Croptop. It is expensive, but it is well worth the money invested. I have the full "D" cup size Croptop. It takes about 6 months from ordering to delivery. I love my Croptop. It's the next best thing to having implants.

One of Our Own Wins the Good Fight
Frank Disalle September 22nd, 2008 5:26 am MDTFormer Special Forces officer wins transgender discrimination lawsuitLeslie Schulman at 12:43 PM ET
[JURIST] A judge in the US District Court for the District of Columbia [official website] on Friday ruled [opinion, PDF] that the civil rights of former Army Special Forces officer Diane Schroer [profile] were violated after a job offer to serve as the senior terrorism research analyst at the Library of Congress [official website] was rescinded following Schroer\'s disclosure to her future supervisor that she was undergoing a gender transformation. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) [advocacy website] filed [ACLU news release] a lawsuit [complaint, PDF; materials] on behalf of Schroer in June 2005 under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 [text; EEOC backgrounder], claiming the Library of Congress made it clear they thought Schroer was the best person for the job in extending the offer, but immediately changed its mind after Schroer voluntarily disclosed her intent to undergo a sex change operation. The complaint also argued that Schroer\'s right to due process and equal protection rights were violated. The Library of Congress countered that federal anti-discrimination laws do not extend to transgender people. The judge found \"compelling evidence\" that the hiring decision was \"infected by sex stereotypes,\" and concluded:
CNN has more.
The ruling comes as a major victory for transgender people claiming employment discrimination. In October, an employment non-discrimination bill protecting gays, lesbians, and bisexuals but not transgendered individuals was sent to the full US House of Representatives [JURIST report]. The absence of transgender protections prompted sharp opposition [ACLU press release] to the measure from civil rights groups, but Democrats who had introduced the bill were worried that the inclusion of language applying to transgender employees would cause the bill to fail. They vowed to address the issue in the future. Currently less than half of US states specifically prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation [JURIST news archive], and only half of these laws include protection for transgender individuals. A Maryland transgender anti-discrimination law is set to go to voters in November [JURIST report].

Chicago Be All 2008
Candice O Minky September 13th, 2008 10:15 am MDTChicago Be All 2008I walked into the hotel lobby and the sun was very blinding. I then heard a voice say look what just flew in from Boston. I had no idea who said it as I couldn't see but I continued to walk in when I heard, Candy a man should not be born with legs that good looking. Only then did I realize it was Jamie Austin. I laughed and said to him, "Do I look like a f'ing man to you?" Some highlights: I loved meeting a trans-woman named Kay Gould. Kay was a writer and journalist and is now in her 70's. Kay is very, very ill with Parkinson's Disease was confined to a wheel chair. I loved hearing from Kay and her gal pal about how Kay was one of the original founders of the Be All. They shared with us photos of Kay in younger days and in better health. I teased her about some of the more provocative photos which drew a smile and a laugh. I also thanked her very, very much for being a pioneer and laying the groundwork for tgirls like myself to be more widely accepted in this world. She was very touched and she started to choke back a tear, as did I. It was a genuine moment and I thank you again Kay, you are a blessing. OK, the purple wig, I tried it on in the vendor area and everyone rushed me and said buy it. I didn't. I went shopping at the mall with my BFF Bridgett and we later returned to the vendor area. Everyone came up to me and said I saw you in that wig earlier and it looked so cute on you...so I bought it. I needed something sexy to wear to Dr. Z's Party that night. It was the perfect wig for the party and many of you told me that. Thank you all for the nice compliments...you are all too kind. A special shout out to Bridgett Sommers....anyone who puts up with me in a bra and panties while putting my face on is OK in my book. Also special shouts to Tiffany Starr, Nikki LaVey & Karyn, Taylor, and of course the Island Girls. Hope to see you all again sooner rather than later, Sweetest Candy[Comment on this post]
PLEASE Read, Ladies and Pass it on
Frank Disalle September 10th, 2008 8:46 am MDTTransgender Murder, Safety and Dating I really hate saying this, but it needs to be said...There are many young transgender women who are not careful about dating guys. They think that because they are young, pretty and passable they are free to date as they wish. The truth of the matter is, we have to be concerned with our safety the same as any other woman and even more. Even genetic women have to be concerned with being raped, assaulted and becoming victims of domestic violence. As a transgender woman things can become even more riskier, especially if we are pre or non-op. If we are found out men can get very upset, angry and often very violent. No man likes being lied to, but even worse the "thought" they have had sex with a person of the "same sex" and committed a "homosexual act" can drive them to become very angry and often resulting in brutal assault and even murder. Such is the case in the murder of Angie Zapata. All the hate crimes legislation in the world will do little to help us in this type of situation. I feel that many transgender murders could be prevented if only they had been upfront about their gender and screened their dates a little bit better. Does this justify these gruesome murders, positively not, but it is a very sad reality that may very well have been prevented with a bit more caution and honesty. As a transexual woman I get many requests for dates. Many of these hits are online and through social networking sites such as myspace and facebook. Even though my profiles are as transgender oriented, I get many hits from very straight men. My very first reply to any person who hits on me is "I am a male to female transexual woman and give a brief description of myself. This way no one can say I lied to them or deceived them about my gender. Usually the response back is a quick no thank you or no response at all.As much as we all like to go "stealth", I feel it is very important to be upfront about our transgender status. We need to be just as cautious as any other genetic woman and even more. Lastly, we need to screen our dates and know who we are dating. from TGLynn's Place http://tglynnsplace.blogspot.com/2008/07/transgender-murder-safety-and-dating.html[Comment on this post]
Back again
Linda Lewis September 6th, 2008 9:49 am MDTThose of you who have been following the problems I had with my neighbors at the apartment complex I live in, the two guys who were giving me the most problems moved out finally. I hope that they have to put up with the crap I had to deal with from them, from their new neighbors. What goes around comes around. After 9 months, I'm free to be Linda again. I will be adding new pics here soon, so stay tuned for those.
As for the moving situation that I had on my profile page earlier, that situation will be reversed shortly. The new neighbors who have moved in below me have been doing a good job in keeping their puppy quiet for most of the time. I will be talking with the apartment manager about renewing my lease when it comes time to do that again.
One last thing before I end this entry, I have been asked by my dear friend FoxyKaren if I would like to re-join SSofNE. Karen honey, YES!!!! I would love to re-join. If you are reading this sometime soon, please send me an invite. Thank you love. I've missed you all very much. *Kisses*
