Team Human Bean

There are many many place to be in the gender spectrum.When I was a kid I was called a pussy and a sissy. When I was in the military, the women I dated considered me to be "A Real Man". I never was any of those. And most importantly, In the military, I did the same exact awesome and demanding work with some really nice and very capable women that no one would ever call "A Real Man". Some of the guys I worked with, not to be mean, said that I would make some girl a nice wife someday.And today I run my own welding and machine repair shop. It fits squarely into the Macho guy image. But I also tend the wildflower gardens planted around my most macho shop.I'm tired of our personalities being pushed into specific "market segments". Then those in religious and political power use those segmemts to divide and conquer us. The really bad part is that we come to deny parts of our selves in order to fit into these boxes. We are all on the same "Team Human Bean" and have the ability to make valuable contributions even if we don't fit into the box.

Re: Team Human Bean Spirit June 27th, 2008 4:40 am MDT Humanity is defined by suffering in any age, in any place, we find suffering rich, entitled people suffer differently than the poor but they suffer just the same they feel the same heartache as the orphans of war albeit for less drastic reasons but suffering, like life, is subjective so we can't say their suffering is worthless because we don't live their lives we don't really know They may, in fact, suffer more.. No matter what our stated goals or ambitions, we really want to be happy most of all. So does everybody else They have an equal right to be happy And, I think, the happiness of many outweighs the happiness of one So I want to help people become happy. And I fail in this goal becuase I'm not a sage or a saint But I keep trying in a small but sustainable way That's why I like to hear intelligent commentary liike your post It's why I'm so impressed that you would help out a confused kid. I'm really glad to have met you. I think you're really a good person.
