Just Friends?

I am amazed after being here for more than a year of how difficult it is to really make a real friend.  I seems we as trangender people are looking for acceptance, but can not make that one big step of really being just a friend.  Thus, I stopped hanging out in the chat rooom as I found it useless and frustrating with those looking to meet for a quick sexual fling, cheat on a non accepting spouse or just talk trash.  So I continue to keep my profile and website posted hoping, just maybe something will change. Of everyone I have meet or talked to in chat I found just one person, a dear and caring gal (Rene) that shows real friendship.
