URNA DETECTIVES NEWS FLASH! DAN, JON & THE CASE OF THE MISSING JOURNAL ENTRIES!
Karen Reeves December 27th, 2008 8:54 pm MSTHi Everyone!
It appears that the case of the missing journal entry postings has been SOLVED!
I can see from my own list of the number of journal entries posted on my site that last June 4th was a busy day. I know I have posted quite a few journal entries over the years but not 53 of them!!! I can talk and write alot but . . . . .
Trying to repair the site the guys posted over 30 test entries on my site in just a few hours! When the site recently got repaired these disappearing journal entries suddenly reappeared. I just noticied this and have spent time deleting the test items.
I would suggest that everyone go delete repetative journal/test items to cut down on the clutter.
Thanks Dan & Jon for the great work in making Urnotalone such an awesome place!!! You have proved yourselves again!
*Smiles*

Merry Christmas 2008 To You All!
Karen Reeves December 20th, 2008 11:51 pm MSTHi Everyone!
It is that time of year and yesterday's/today's snowstorm just seems to add to the festive mood of Christmas. I know that getting ready for the holidays can be stressful and painful.
I enjoy all the bright lights, good cheer, parties, the presents, and Xmas dinner. But let us remember the true meaning of Xmas. It is the day that we celeberate the life of one person and the meaning of what it is to strive and have a better planet to live on.
Enjoy your holidays no matter your belief system!!!!!
*Kisses*

GOOBLE GOOBLE GOOBLE-Some November Thoughts !
Karen Reeves November 16th, 2008 10:00 pm MSTHi Everyone!
I hope that all of you have a great Thanksgiving. We all have, though it may not seem that way many times, so much to be thankful for. The next time you get down emotionally remember that things could be a whole lot worse. Many people are in that predicament.
Don't each too much turkey!

Where have you been Dianne (not Jimmy Dean)
Dianne Elizabeth October 29th, 2008 2:20 pm MDTOk, so perhaps like many of you, it's such a rush when we 1st get here. Like that 1st pair of "perfect" pumps that lift you up in so many ways. We get breathless (for some it's the altitude, I mean really 12" heels...?) For others, we just try to do to much to quickly.
Writing has always been a means for me to catch my breath. Take a moment and reflect. I know I'm more at peace now. More comfortable in my skin so to speak. Are there times I think more about further changes? Yes, but then I realize that I have changed. The physicality of being trans is still a huge part of my psyche (word?, yes but not in the way you may think) In Roman mythology, Psyche was a beautiful young woman who was loved by Cupid and ultimately made immortal by Jupiter. Cupid visited her secretly at night, forbidding her ever to look at him. When she did, he abandoned her, but they were eventually reunited.
So, what does it mean. It means, I love being Dianne physically of course. I like looking at her(me)...still confused by that, but more and more I just like feeling like her (being a feminine soul). I can and am Dianne, even when I'm not dressed.
I hope to be around more and able to expand my contact with those who have reached out to me already. I'm sorry if it seems one minute I'm there, then I'm not. I promise to put more of me into our future meetings, whether there by letter or by IM (I'm going to figure that out I promise that too!)
For now, enough already. Hugs and Kisses to all my sisters! Hope you'll accept my mea culpa and give me a hug back!
Love, Dianne

I want to be more!
Geena Beth White August 24th, 2008 3:20 pm MDTAfter trying to hide my CD self for over 45 years, I want to give Geena more freedom! It's not going to happen overnight, and I am willing to proceed slowly, cautiously, towards becoming more than I am now. Fortunately my wife and soul mate of 35 years knows about my CD side, and although she doesn't embrace it, she at least understands why I do it, and that if anything, it has strengthened our marriage. Please know that even though I love to dress and become Geena for short periods, I do not want to permanently become her, as I am comfortable with my male self (most of the time anyway).
A currently have at last 24 very feminine outfits that range from dresses to skirt sets. I only love dresses and skirts when I dress, and only if they are between calf length and just below the knee. To go with these outfits, I have about 16 pair of shoes. The heels range from 2-1/2" to 4" and are of various styles and colors. As for lingeire, I have two dozen panties, 6 bras, combinatins of half and full slips, garters and several pair of gartered nylons (as well as thigh top). I hate pantyhose. My dresses and skirts are a size 16 and my shoes are a 9-1/2 (all USA sizes)
In the wig department, I hae two wigs, one long and one short, that closely match my real greay/white hair. Unfortunately, I don't have a great place to store them and when it comes to attempting to style them, I am all thumbs.
In the make-up department, I'm even worse. I did recently purchase some items from the Glamour Botique, and have some luck attepting to apply them, but again Im all thumbs. Hopefully with somw helpful suggestions from my new URNA gal friends, I can make some progress on this. Unfortunatemly, my wife currently doesn't want to be around when Geena is and I am too frightened of going to a botique that specializes in helping CD gals.
Additionally, I've got to take off about 15 to 20 pounds, to hopefully make my facial featues a little less full, and reduce my waist a coupld of inches (currently 25").
Well, this is where I am. I'm happy that I've made the decision to improve how Geena looks! I am also hoping that with this, Geena will grow more conficent in herself!
Huggers! --- Geena CD In MA

Denver Adventure Part 2
Monica Grant July 22nd, 2008 10:04 pm MDTThursday July 2nd. I received the offer from the new company last Friday and after a bit of negotiation we made a deal. Then came the hard part, turning in my resignation. As it turned out it was not as bad as I had feared. My boss took it well enough and I now have two weeks to tie up loose ends. August 1st, I start the new job and will fly back to Virginia to get things set up.
We have scheduled the move for August 30th. We will be staying with my daughter and her husband in Colorado Springs for a short time until we find the right home to purchase. We have found quite a few homes listed that are the kind of place we are looking for so we have high hopes of finding the perfect one. Since I will be traveling to Las Vegas once a month we are looking at buying a small condo there at the same time. This would also give us a place to escape to during the winter.
I started saying goodbye to my friends on Saturday, Went out clubbing with two of my best Gurl friends. We had a great time, the club had a great crowd, very mixed and a lot of fun. I think the best part was sitting up until the wee hours of the morning just talking. I am going to miss them a lot.
I may be coming into Denver for a few days the week of the 18th. If I can find some new friends to go out with , I may stay over Friday , but we will ahve to see.

Halting the Flood
Christina Madchen July 4th, 2008 8:18 am MDTSo, it's been a bumpy three months--dumped, flooded out of my home twice, and spending way too much time with architects, lawyers, claims adjusters, contractors, subcontractors, and mitigation contractors. Happily, I'm finally in that place that gets me back to just rolling with it. I'm in a city I love, after all, I'm making new friends, plus I've got a dog so pretty she stops traffic. Coming back from today's workout with her in the park on a glorious Fourth's morning, it was easy to come to the realization that whatever the tedious logistical difficulties, life never really sucks, certainly not for very long. In gamer terms, it's the RPG, the best imaginable ever, with no virtual nothin'. So, I'm looking forward to having some fun tonight, and getting back to all the writing I should be doing, and just relaxing and enjoying my lot. Who knows what the next day will bring?

Denver Adventure
Monica Grant July 1st, 2008 1:53 pm MDTWell its Tuesday Morning July 1st. I am still waiting on the paperwork to go through at the new company. In the mean time I have a major case of short timers disease but still can not give notice. It looks like I will not make the sales meeting in Virginia but I am sure I will not miss much. We are planning on flying into Denver the week of 28th to look for a temporary place to stay and talk to a couple of realtors. We would like to find a condo near the area we will be looking for a house in, wherever that will be. We want to find a 50's to 60's era Mid Century Ranch Style home in a nice established area. We plan on being there a while and need room to spread out a bit, also the older homes tend to be on large lots with a bit more privacy. We also love to entertain, dinner parties and such, so an open floor plan is very important. I am really happy with the contacts I have made so far in Denver, also in Salt Lake and Phoenix. I have discovered the Tgurls here are both very nice and very beautiful. I am looking forward to making some good friends. It took me 20 years to build up a network here in LA, and I would rather it not take that long again :) There are also quite a few clubs I want to check out. It seems one of my favorites, The Grand Piano Bar, is no longer open :( but I plan on checking out the Atrium Bar & Grill, The Compound, Decater cafe, La Rumba and Lannie's Clock tower Cabaret to start. I hope some of my new friends will be able to offer a few suggestions too. Well its time to get off to work, I have finished my quad Latte and am more than awake. TTFN[Comment on this post]

I think that's enough for this morning. I did not get much sleep last night but I just finished my usual quad latte and I am pretty much awake.

THIS IS ONLY A TEST! SOME JUNE THOUGHTS
Karen Reeves June 4th, 2008 7:13 pm MDTHi Everyone!
This is a test to see if I can input my journal entry. Fingers crossed!
Summer is almost here. I know that 90 degree weather and 95% humidity does not do much for makeup. The season does not always lend itself to dressing up. The dressed go into the box and the boxes go into the closest.
Why not slip into that swimsuit and go on out and get a great tan in a nice secluded surrounding. Or be more brave and go out in public with a cute, sleeveless top and min shorts/skirt. Give the guys some "eye candy!"
*Kisses*

Karen Reeves June 4th, 2008 6:36 pm MDTHi Everyone!
I am writing this journal entry to see if it will input or not! *Fingers crossed*
Summer is almost here and for many girls the makeup and clothes go into the box and the box goesinto the closet. While makeup does not work well in 90 degree weather and worse in 90% humidity you can still enjoy dressing. How about buying a new swim suit and sunning yourself in a secluded spot? Or if you are more adventuresome go out in public in a smart little outfit or a sleveless top and mini shorts! Give the guys some "eye candy!"
Enjoy the great weather!

~Some May Thoughts~
Karen Reeves May 19th, 2008 7:28 pm MDTI tried to write this entry a week ago but the gremlins get me from posting it. I SO LOVE COPMUTERS!!!!!
It is May an this is the perfect month to go "out and about" on the town. I do miss wearing my leather coat and boots and regret putting them away for a summer hiatus till autumn's chilll returns.
Think of this time of year as a chance to enhance, and expand, your wardrobe. Don't we all want to go on another shoping spree? Be decadent once in awhile! Credit card please!
