  Wow Joanna. It was just supposed to be a funny take on the "Get a Mac" ads. Not an indictment of consumerism.

  I like Linux but its not the future of anything except embedded devices.

  Personally, I think Windows sucks as an OS, but, and it's a big But, I do like the Windows GUI. OS-X, in my opinion, has a horrible GUI, but it is a great, stable OS. It IS Unix under the covers and I like that, however, I've never like the User Interface. Variants of Unix, like Linux are great OS's, very stable, much stabler than Windows or OS-X, however, every single one of them requires some kind of IT Expertise to be able to get them installed and add new devices. I doubt that will ever change.
